Business Unit Electrolyzer and Fuel cell Technology (BU-EFT) within Alfa Laval is looking for Development Engineer. Your task will be equipment design, process simulation and development in close cooperation with suppliers, manufacturing units and product development, challenging existing concepts within manufacturing. Design is done in our 3D-CAD system, and product data is managed in our PDM system.

About the job
We offer an interesting job opportunity within the Business Unit Electrolyzer and Fuel cell Technology (BU-EFT) for you who enjoy working with key customers in a global market. Key is for you to have knowledge of manufacturing/production processes.
You will be based in Lund and report to Head of Development for Electrolyzer and Fuel cell technologies.
As Development Engineer, you will work with the process development for our Bi-Polar Plate (BPP) designs and other thermal components for the electrolyzer and fuel cell systems in an international context.
You will work mainly with technologies in project form in very close cooperation with other Development engineers, Application specialists and Laboratory technicians. In addition, you will interact with other Development Engineers as well as key customers.
Your main responsibilities includes development, design and optimization of equipment and fixtures for the Bi-Polar Plate (BPP) and other electrolyzer/fuel cell components. Also included simulation and optimization of brazing processes. Design is done in our 3D-CAD system, and product data is managed in our PDM system.
Key tasks:
Design and optimize brazing fixtures and equipment.
Simulate and optimize the brazing process
Innovate, develop, verify, and implement new equipment/technologies/processes/systems
Deeply involved in cross-functional development project teams where the process design and mechanical equipment will be your responsibility area.
Who you are

What you know
You have a background as a development engineer with a university or master’s degree in mechanical engineering. We expect that you have experience in product/process development with good knowledge of working with 3D-CAD. Experience in working with agile development is a plus.
As a person, you are creative with analytical skills and interested in new technology. You are clear in your communication, and you are committed to delivering according to requirements.
Besides professional working experience, we believe that you are passionate about sustainability and like to constantly grow your experience. Excellent communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English is a requirement.
