Purpose of the Position:
Responsible for identifying market business opportunities and conducting direct sales of Alfa Laval products and systems within the Food & Water Division in Chile.
Senior level position with proven experience in capital sales within the Chilean food industry with good knowledge of the local markets and food process applications. Demonstrate a higher level of competence, able to act independently and capable of take on additional responsibilities.
Job Description:
1. Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval products and systems.
2. Analyse and understand market insights and customer buying behaviour and make sales plans according to the business division strategy and targets.
3. Interact with Alfa Laval Business Units in order to deliver solutions and products to the local food industry.
4. Look for and manage leads from the market and convert them in real business opportunities in order to ensure the pipeline.
5. Be active in the market and focus on making visits, meetings and interactions to customers, focusing on customer needs, understanding their processes and applications and highlighting the value of our products and services.
6. Run the commercial operation by managing the customer grid in order to build and maintain an active customer network.
7. Use the CRM and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and take decisions.
8. Develop highly profitable quotes reflecting the customer needs.
Profile:
Civil Engineering Bachelor’s Degree (Chemistry, Mechanical, or Food). Master’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration is a Plus.
Labor Experience: At least 10 years of commercial experience selling industrial equipment in companies supplying the food and beverage industries, or engineering companies that provides solutions to it.
Language: Proficiency in Spanish and English both written & spoken.
Others: Availability to travel 25% of the time
