About the job
As Manager of the Service Sales Support Team, you are responsible for driving the aftersales for the Marine Boiler business across all global markets. Your success is enhanced through your true business acumen, a strategic mindset, and outstanding leadership skills to empower your team of 17 salespeople across our global stations.
Your challenges and tasks
As the new manager of the Alfa Laval Service Sales Support for heat systems, you will be responsible for Sales and Support of the Upgrade, Repair, and Retrofit business within the aftersales market. Through your team of dedicated salespeople, you will make sure that our markets and sales offices are provided with lean technical sales support, competitive quotations, and commercial directions for our service offerings. You will be a part of the Service Sales Management Team, where you will have a central role in setting the overall direction for the service business, both on an operational and strategic level. Together with the team, you will make sure to deliver on the growth expectation for the service business, and you will influence the strategy to reach the targets.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate outstanding leadership skills to empower your team of salespeople.
Ensure identification and execution of strategic activities to enable long-term growth.
Ensure we run our business with a clear marketing strategy based on an understanding of markets, customers, and competitors.
Provide a clear and competitive offer of products and services for specific industries and applications.
Drive competence development related to the industry, process, and products / applications.
Motivate and drive Sales Companies to generate demand in established businesses through the Global Sales Team.
Enable the team and organization to deliver on growth expectations and sales targets.
Show personal leadership and take the lead to optimize the internal organization / processes.
Your profile and competencies
You have several years of experience in a similar manager role, where you have demonstrated an empowering people management approach. You possess a commercial and strategic mindset and have a flair of handling technical offerings. Preferable, you have experience working with technical sales in a management role, maybe from the Marine Industry and in a Service environment. You have a big drive, and you see your task through with precise execution. You can handle complex matters both when it comes to sales and organizational activities, and you understand the important parameters behind building both a top- and bottom line in a business. You are a strong communicator, and you can bring your leadership skills into play in all everyday activities. You get energy from traveling internationally to Alfa Laval locations and customers (+- 30 days a year).
