Role Overview:
As a Solution Architect, you will design and implement robust financial systems with a focus on consolidation, reporting, and tax management. You’ll collaborate with finance and business teams to understand their needs and create scalable solutions that align with regulatory and business requirements. Partnering closely with IT, you’ll ensure that the financial systems are optimized for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. Your role will involve working on both ongoing projects and future-focused initiatives that enable the organization to meet regulatory and strategic requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Define Financial Solutions Requirements
Collaborate with finance teams to understand needs for reporting, consolidation, and tax management.
Design solutions that meet regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Develop & Implement Technical Architecture
Create scalable, secure architecture that meets both current and future business needs.
Work with IT to implement systems that integrate data seamlessly and provide real-time reporting and secure data storage.
Collaborate with Product Owners and Finance Teams
Partner with Product Owners to prioritize features and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
Translate complex financial requirements into clear, effective technical solutions.
Project Leadership and Execution
Lead and contribute to key projects focused on improving the financial close, consolidation, and reporting processes.
Ensure that projects are executed on time and within budget, managing risk and mitigating any potential issues throughout the project lifecycle.
Ongoing System and Solution Optimization
Continuously evaluate and refine existing solutions to enhance scalability, efficiency, and user experience.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance financial systems.
Support Regulatory Compliance and Security Standards
Ensure that all solutions meet relevant regulatory and compliance standards, including data protection, reporting accuracy, and audit readiness.
Implement security best practices within solution architecture to protect sensitive financial data and maintain system integrity.
Job Requirements:
A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in solution architecture, with a strong focus on financial systems and enterprise-level system integrations.
ERP Systems: Preferably, candidates should have experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), iSCALA, and Infor M3 (Movex), as these systems are integral to our operations.
Financial Solutions: Solid knowledge of leading financial consolidation and close solutions that are top ranked by Gartner. The candidate should also have experience utilizing these types of solutions in alignment with Gartner’s best practices and recommendations.
Cloud Solutions: Experience with Microsoft Azure for configuring and maintaining cloud-based solutions that support financial processes and system integrations.
Financial Regulations: Strong knowledge of IFRS standards to ensure accurate and globally compliant financial reporting.
Collaboration and Project Management: Strong collaborative skills, with experience in working closely with both internal teams and external partners. Project management experience is important, particularly in the implementation and development of new systems and solutions.
Analytical and Solution-Oriented skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions that can adapt to future changes.
AI and Automation Experience: Interest and/or experience with AI-driven technology, particularly in areas like transaction matching and anomaly detection, is a valuable asset as trends increasingly favor AI-supported financial processes.
