Job Summary

As our new Technical Support Engineer your main tasks will be to create, develop and maintain our technical specifications and documentation for our system components. You are key person to provide technical support of our mechanical and electrical system components. You work in close co-operation with different departments in our Business Unit Heat & Gas Systems and in our Qingdao factory. Your key contacts are sourcing, R&D, engineering & supply, product management, quality, and other relevant departments. You work closely with Alfa Lava’s component suppliers in technical details, specifications and documentation

• Create, develop and maintain our technical specifications and documentation for our system components
• Define class requirements for components and ensure right class certification from suppliers
• You relate to Alfa Lava’s component suppliers in technical details, specifications and documentation.
• Co-ordinate supplier documentation linkage to Master Data
• Technical supporting throughout the BU HGS and Qingdao factory organisation

• Participate to feasibility studies of components and selection of system components together with sourcing and product management
• Communication with suppliers of their products / components and supplier visits
• Training of quality requirement/specification for key components

Who are you?

• You have mechanical or electrical technical education at bachelor or master level combined with technical work experience
• Experience of process engineering and process design. Familiar to make and design P&ID.
• Experience in creating technical specifications and technical documentation
• Good knowledge and experience of electrical equipment, electrical components, instruments, motors, pumps, valves.
• Experience of work with suppliers and in supply chain
• Good communication skills
• You are active, structured and systematic in your work.
• You have ability to co-ordinate between different stakeholders.
• Good English skill both oral and written.
• Genuine interest and abilities in industrial and marine processes
• Knowledge of boiler systems or other industrial processes is preferred.
