About the job 

Data Centers are one of the most energy-intensive industries and have a significant impact on the environment and stand for 2% of global carbon emissions (and growing). Alfa Laval specializes in advanced industrial thermal management and fluid handling equipment designed to maximize energy efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint of Data Centers. Because cooling accounts for roughly 40% of a data center's total energy consumption, the company´s offerings are critical to improving energy efficiency metrics such as Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) and Energy Reuse Effectiveness (ERE). Managing heat loads generated by modern Artificial Intelligence (AI) and cloud computing infrastructure is of outmost importance for a sustainable future.

Key tasks

  • Be active in the market and focus on making visits, meetings and interactions with customers, focusing on customers’ needs, understanding and highlighting the value of our products and services.
  • Together with our Inside Sales and P&A (product & application) team, develop highly profitable quotes reflecting the customer's needs, stressing the unique selling points and follow-up, and getting a hit rate.
  • Work proactively and structured in order to optimize sales efficiency.
  • Analyze and understand market insights and the customers’ buying behavior and make sales plans according to the business division strategy and targets. 
  • Look for and manage leads from the market and customers and convert them into real business opportunities in order to ensure the pipeline. 
  • Be active in the market and focus on making visits, meetings and interactions with customers, focusing on customer needs, understanding and highlighting the value of our products and services. 
  • Attend Data Center events and fairs, and assist to organize Alfa Laval presence 
  • Head up the Data Center Commercial team, and coordinate sales efforts in the Nordics 
  • Together with our Inside Sales and P&A (product & application) team, develop highly profitable quotes reflecting the customers’ needs, stressing the unique selling points and follow-up, and getting a hit-rate. 
  • Use the CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way to support the sales process and take decisions. 
  • Work proactively and structured in order to optimize sales efficiency. 
  • Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval Product and services. 
  • Be active in Data Center industry associations
  • Understand how large Data Center projects are proceeding and find the key players.

What you know 

  • The Data Center industry – or similar energy consuming industries
  • Your network – including a solid base of connections related to the Data Center Industry
  • The importance and need for sustainable and energy efficient solutions
  • English, and minimum one Scandinavian language fluently (written and oral)

We prefer it if you have knowledge of Cooling and Heat Recovery technology.

  • Self-driven, handling effective and agile communication with project teams, steering committees, and stakeholders at different levels in our customers organization
  • Commercially driven engineer with excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities 
  • Ability to navigate and operate within complex international organizations 
  • A trustworthy and reliable person
