Are you passionate about marine engineering and ready to take on complex technical challenges?

Alfa Laval is seeking a dedicated Navy Bid Engineer to join our team, specializing in the processing of offers for ballast water treatment systems for navy and government vessels. This role is pivotal in supporting our global sales activities and ensuring technical excellence in our proposals.
 

Key Activities & Tasks

  • Review and analyze technical inquiries for navy and government vessel projects.

  • Develop and prepare technical and commercial offers for ballast water treatment systems.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure feasibility and compliance.

  • Support sales during contract negotiations and provide technical input.

  • Maintain project and offer data in the company’s IT system (OneCRM).

  • Prepare and hand over project documentation for order processing.

  • Participate in project kick-off meetings and support project execution.

  • Conduct post-project analysis to identify improvements.


Competences & Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering.

  • Proficient in MS Office programs.

  • Fluent in business and technical English.

  • Experience with tenders and orders for naval/government vessels is desirable.

  • Knowledge of Navy projects, ideally in marine engineering or a comparable environment.

  • Strong analytical and structured working style.

  • Self-motivated and eager to tackle complex technical problems.

  • Perseverance and determination for long-term projects.

  • Affinity for working with extensive technical request documents.
