The position / About the Job:

In this job the Operational Buyer would be responsible for:

Key Tasks and responsibilities:

Purchasing -  

  • Review specs and try to map the feasibility of supplies.
  • Find out & manage quality requirements in consultation with the quality & design team.
  • Ensure supplier to adhere all requirements & supplies with desired SQDT levels.
  • Forward our Data Sheets/specs to vendors and get their offers.
  • Supplier scouting & Screening of short-listed vendors, qualify probable vendors & Contracting.
  • Get the offers approved from design/E&S teams.
  • Prepare comparison sheet/ QCES for approval of Purchase manager.
  • Ensure supplier to adhere all requirements & supplies with desired SQDT levels.
  • Supplier performance management.

Costing:

  • Check data for each item before connection.
  • Forward info to UM Purchase for cost connection.
  • Do costing in ERP after connection is done.
  • Inform POM to run structure so that proposals are released.

Ordering:

  • Order items as per the proposal.
  • Forward PO to vendors with relevant info.
  • Take OC from the vendor and discuss with POM, if delay.
  • Prepare & review schedule of critical components.
  • Escalate issues in case of any delays from vendors.
  • Provide required certificates for clearing item inspection.
  • Take actions for replacement, in in case of any quality issues.

GENERAL:

  • Take active part in ALPS activities and ISO requirements.
  • Supplier performance monitoring & compliance management.
  • Inventory reduction and optimization.

Who you are?

As a person who handles the manufacturing of critical fabrication & bought out items at the supplier end to support IMF Module Production factory and meet Customer expectations.

Experience – BE Mechanical/ Electrical – 8 to 10 years of experience
