Sustainable Sourcing Climate Lead

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping. As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About the job

You will be part of a global team working to improve existing and develop new sustainable sourcing practices throughout our central and local sourcing organization. The role focuses on emission reductions and environmental improvements in our supply chain. You will work with analysis of fast-changing requirements, developing, rolling out and supporting new ways of working.

Main responsibilities:

  • Climate knowledge - to support the sourcing organization on how to reduce emissions and risks
  • Change management lead - to drive changes in way of working to incorporate more sustainability
  • Reports and digital – to use data and reports to drive change, to follow-up and evaluate for improvements

This includes working with pilot projects to find new solutions, creating guidelines, rolling out KPIs, participating in new IT solution projects and representing Alfa Laval in external settings.

What We Offer:

  • A global platform to champion climate action in sourcing
  • The authority to drive real change and innovation
  • Collaboration with passionate, diverse colleagues worldwide
  • Opportunities for growth, learning, and leadership

Who you are

You are ready to make a difference in a fast-paced, innovative environment. You embrace change with optimism and find it easy to remain confident and actionable in situations with new elements and ambiguity. You are a networker that quickly builds and develops new relations, and you can handle a complex cross-functional stakeholder context. You thrive when you can find solutions and make decisions that bring a topic forward. You can easily move between strategic topics and how to make change happen tactically and operationally in the organization. You prioritize keeping up to date on industry trends, innovation and risks. You are well known for obtaining high levels of engagement and reaching ambitious goals.  As a person you also listen, consult, and make room for others. You believe that transparent communication and collaboration is the key to success.

What you know

You have expertise in the areas of climate, sustainability and sourcing/supply chain, with knowledge of climate-related best practices, standards and regulations (e.g., GHG Protocol, SBTi, CDP, GRI, CSRD, ESRS, Circularity and relevant ISO standards). You have a proven track record for successfully implementing new ways of working across a global organization. You have experience in leading data driven approach, in understanding new data and quickly determining business value.  You are fluent in English both written and spoken. Good knowledge in sustainability reporting is an advantage for this position. You have a university degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, business administration, or similar.
