About the job

Alfa Laval is transforming its International Marine Services (IMS) operations to become more scalable, transparent, and performance-driven. As Transformation & Analytics Lead – IMS Operations, you will play a central role in shaping how IMS operates, makes decisions, and executes change globally.

This role owns the intersection between analytics, process insight, and transformation execution. You will create transparency where it does not exist today, challenge assumptions with facts, and turn operational complexity into clear priorities and measurable improvements. Working closely with IMS leadership, desks, and supporting functions, you will enable data-backed decisions on workload, cost-to-serve, productivity, and future service models.

Key responsibilities include:

1. IMS Performance & Analytics Ownership

  • Own IMS performance transparency through the development and automation of dashboards covering workload, utilization, lead time, cost-to-serve, and service coverage.

  • Integrate and validate data across systems (e.g. MS Dynamics) to ensure reliable, decision-ready insights.

  • Perform statistical analysis and scenario modeling to support resource allocation, workload balancing, and future service models.

2. Process Mining & Insight Generation

  • Apply process mining tools to analyze end-to-end service workflows and identify bottlenecks, deviations, non-value-added activities, and automation opportunities.

  • Deliver root-cause insights into productivity gaps, long lead times, handover delays, and cost variance.

  • Translate analytical findings into clear improvement opportunities and standardized process designs.

3. Transformation Project Leadership

  • Lead IMS transformation and improvement initiatives end-to-end, from scoping and prioritization to execution and closure.

  • Establish and maintain the IMS transformation project portfolio, ensuring transparency on priorities, dependencies, risks, and outcomes.

  • Facilitate governance, progress reporting, and decision-making forums to drive execution and accountability.

4. Operational Adoption & Governance

  • Ensure new processes, tools, and ways of working are adopted and consistently executed across regions.

  • Support documentation, SOPs, training materials, and onboarding related to implemented changes.

  • Act as the key interface between IMS operations and supporting functions (IT, Supply Chain, Finance, Business Units) to ensure alignment and sustained impact.

Who are you

You are a highly analytical and structured professional who thrives in complex, evolving environments. You are comfortable working with imperfect data, navigating ambiguity, and making trade-offs when priorities compete. You combine a strong fact-based mindset with the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and seniority levels. You challenge the status quo constructively, communicate clearly, and take ownership from insight to execution. You prefer real impact over polished frameworks and are motivated by seeing your work translate into operational change.

What you know

You bring a strong foundation in analytics, process improvement, and operational transformation, with hands-on experience turning data into decisions and actions in a service or operational context.

We expect you to have:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Industrial Engineering, Business Process Management, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience within analytics, operational excellence, transformation, or business process roles.

  • Strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with Power BI, advanced Excel, and data visualization.

  • Experience with, or strong exposure to, process mining tools such as Celonis, UiPath, Signavio, or similar.

  • Proven experience leading or coordinating cross-functional initiatives using a structured, pragmatic approach.

  • Solid understanding of service operations, cost modeling, productivity KPIs, and operational performance metrics.

  • Experience from global service organizations, shared services, or transformation programs is a strong advantage.

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
