About the job

In this role, you will take commercial responsibility for major capital investments across the entire Alfa Laval Group. You will work closely with project managers, production engineers and factory managers to understand technical requirements and ensure that the right commercial conditions are in place for equipment such as presses, CNC machines and complete production lines. With more than 40 production units worldwide and annual machinery investments of 100 MEUR, your work will directly influence our long‑term competitiveness and operational performance.

A central part of the position is to build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers around the world. You will act as the commercial lead in investment projects, ensuring that quality, availability and total cost are continuously balanced. Success in this role depends on close collaboration with our factories and technical project teams, while also being able to challenge internal stakeholders and suppliers in a thoughtful and solution‑oriented way.

What you know

We are looking for someone with a strong commercial mindset and a deep understanding of production processes. You bring senior experience from purchasing or sourcing, ideally combined with exposure to manufacturing environments and production equipment. You are a senior negotiator who is comfortable navigating complex, high‑value projects and who understands the challenges that come with production engineering and investment cycles.

Practicalities

The position is based in Flemingsberg or Lund, and English is the primary business language. The role includes approximately 40 travel days per year.
