Job Title: HSE Engineer – Field Service Operations

Reports To:  Functionaly -Head of Health, Safety & Environment – India

            Administratively – Service operation manager - India

Business travel - PAN India

Base location – Delhi

Job Purpose:

To ensure the safety and compliance of all field service operations through active monitoring, training, auditing, and continuous improvement of safety practices. The Safety Executive serves as a key liaison between field teams and management to maintain a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular field inspections and audits to ensure adherence to internal safety protocols, client-specific safety requirements, and legal regulations.

  • Drive safety Initiatives within the Field Service Operations team.

  • Monitor & analyse the safety reports (Hazards, near misses…etc) reported by Field service Team.

  • Lead or support investigations of field incidents and near misses. Identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

  • Develop and deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and targeted training sessions to FS Team, Customers (e.g., PPE use, hazard identification, work-at-height safety).

  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, risk assessments, and corrective actions. Submit periodic safety performance reports.

  • Support pre-job risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) with field teams for high-risk tasks or projects.

  • Ensure field teams have appropriate PPE and that it is used, maintained, and replaced according to company standards.

  • Verify that all field personnel are trained and equipped for emergency response and participate in periodic drills.

  • Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging with technicians, supervisors, and clients on safety expectations and initiatives.

  • Observe & Analyse driving behaviours of FSE’s (field service engineers) closely & provide necessary support/trainings.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Safety Management, Engineering, or related field

  • HSE certification or relevant qualification like ADIS, NEBOSH etc.

  • 8-12 years of experience in field safety roles, preferably in technical or engineering service industries

  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and standards (local and international)

Key Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong observation and analytical abilities

  • Training and coaching capabilities

  • Proficient in safety reporting tools and MS Office

  • Ability to travel frequently to field sites.

Business Travel: -

50% travelling to key customers & Service centres.
