Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

Background

Parts, Distribution and Logistics (PDL) is responsible for supplying spare parts, components, and finished goods to our Sales companies and end customers through our global network of 7 Distribution Centers, 1 Manufacturing Unit, and 3 Logistic Control Towers. PDL processes more than 1.4 million order lines per year and is responsible for freight management in Alfa Laval through the Logistic Control Towers.

Global Sourcing drives a consistent global approach to maximize purchasing power and develop a world-class supplier base for all Alfa Laval business units. With team members in all regions, Global Sourcing manages our global supply base to secure world-class levels in quality, delivery, and total cost.

About the job

As HR Business Partner for PDL and Global Sourcing, you will be a strategic partner to two global organizations that are critical to Alfa Laval’s ability to source, distribute and deliver products to customers worldwide. Working closely with senior leaders across both organizations, you will shape and drive the people, organization and leadership agenda in close alignment with the business strategy. This is a senior role with broad global exposure, where you will influence decisions, challenge perspectives and ensure that people and organizational capabilities enable long-term business performance.

You will act as a trusted advisor and strategic sparring partner to management while also bringing an independent HR perspective to business discussions. With operations spanning multiple countries, functions and cultures, you will navigate a complex organizational landscape and lead people-related initiatives where change, collaboration and strong stakeholder management are key. The role reports to the VP PDL, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the VP Sourcing, and is based in Lund, Sweden. As this is a global position, travel is expected.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partner with the PDL and Global Sourcing management teams to translate business strategies into people, organization and leadership priorities

  • Challenge and advise senior leaders from an HR perspective, bringing an objective view and constructive challenge to business decisions

  • Develop leaders, teams and organizational capabilities to strengthen performance and long-term competitiveness

  • Define and drive the people and culture agenda in alignment with the business strategy and Alfa Laval’s Group People Strategy

  • Act as a key change agent and lead the people perspective in global transformation and organizational development initiatives

  • Use HR data, analytics and insights to identify patterns, opportunities and risks and translate them into relevant actions for the business

  • Drive the implementation and effective use of relevant Alfa Laval HR processes, tools and analytics across the organizations

  • Build strong collaboration with local Distribution Centers, Global Sourcing teams and HR Business Partners across regions

Who are you

You are a confident and commercially minded HR professional who builds strong relationships with senior leaders while having the courage to challenge their thinking from an HR perspective. You are curious about the business, ask the questions others may not be asking and turn complex people and organizational topics into clear priorities and actions. You have an analytical mindset and use data to challenge assumptions, identify patterns and understand where the organization can improve.

As you will work across global organizations and engage with local Distribution Centers, Global Sourcing and HR Business Partners across regions, you are an excellent communicator who can adapt your approach to different stakeholders, cultures and levels of the organization. You are comfortable influencing without formal authority and bring a pragmatic, data-informed approach to solving people and business challenges.

What you know

To succeed in this position, you bring substantial HR Business Partner experience combined with strong business acumen, global exposure and the ability to turn people insights into meaningful business actions. As our ideal candidate, we believe that you:

  • Bring a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of solid experience as an HR Business Partner, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic sparring partner to senior management

  • Have a proven track record across the fundamental HR disciplines, with broad experience supporting organizational and leadership development

  • Have significant experience working with global organizations and across different countries, cultures and organizational environments

  • Have proven experience in Change Management and leading the people perspective in complex organizational change

  • Have solid experience working with HR data and people analytics, using relevant data and trends to identify patterns, uncover organizational opportunities and risks, and translate insights into concrete actions and improvements

  • Have experience with Talent Management, resource planning and other strategic people processes

  • Are experienced in bringing the people perspective into management discussions and influencing decisions at senior level

  • Have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across different functions, regions and levels of the organization

  • Speak and write English fluently
