About the job:

As a key member of our Quality team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards across our manufacturing processes and products. You will handle quality aspects directly related to production, participate in and conduct customer and supplier audits, and address quality-related non-conformities, observations, and comments.

You’ll lead and support quality improvement projects and activities, actively participate in the launch of new products or modifications to existing ones, and manage the claim analysis and resolution process.

Additionally, you will help promote and manage continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality area, aligning your efforts with Alfa Laval’s Quality Strategy to drive operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

This is an onsite position located in Richmond, VA.

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Develops quality objectives complementary to corporate and PG goals and implements plans and strategies to achieve those objectives.
  • Directs and performs all operations-related activities to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements imposed by codes and standards used in the supply of the GPHE, CPB and HFH product lines (including ASME, ABS PED, 3A and ISO 9001 and other applicable ones).
  • Coordinates and manages calibration for Richmond Operations.
  • Serves as liaison to ASME and 3rd party inspection and audits
  • Support welding processes, and inspection methods
  • Coordinates and support customer surveys, audits and PPAP requests
  • Plans and conducts inspections, measurements, and/or tests to assure the quality of products or components
  • Coordinates and drives continuous improvement activities or projects addressing quality related problems and improvements.
  • Coordinates training of key people in the organization in regulatory or customer requirements related to quality.

What you know:

You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering discipline and:

  • 3+ years of experience working with Heat exchangers and Fluid handling products.
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing / ALPS (preferred).
  • Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tool.
  • Project management, process analysis, and process improvement experience.
