About the job 
As a Supplier Developer within the Engineering & Supply department at Alfa Laval, you will play a key role in improving supplier performance and driving continuous improvements in manufacturing processes. In this role, you will manage strategic projects, work closely with suppliers, and ensure alignment with Alfa Laval’s high standards for quality, delivery, and safety. You will provide technical support in supplier selections and lead proactive quality initiatives in NPD/EPD projects. You will also manage the PIM process in D365, handle internal claims, and lead corrective actions to address safety, quality, and delivery issues. Your collaboration with internal teams and suppliers will be essential to ensuring smooth operations and compliance with internal regulations.  

Key responsibilities will include: 

• Drive and manage supplier development and improvement projects to ensure suppliers meet required technical capabilities and delivery standards. 

• Lead and support Q PIM cases, managing containment actions and escalating issues as needed. 

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure high-quality standards and continuous improvements.

You are a driven, structured, and self-motivated individual with strong initiative and excellent communication skills. You are familiar with supplier development and performance management, and you are comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You have a collaborative approach and can quickly adapt to new conditions, customer needs, and challenges. You are a problem solver who can effectively lead corrective actions and improvement projects. 

What you know 

• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field. 

• Proven experience in supplier development and performance management, ideally within the Food & Life Sciences industry. 

• Strong analytical skills with familiarity in handling claims (ProAct). Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. 

• Ability to drive change and lead corrective actions effectively.
