About the job…

The team manager oversees and coordinates manufacturing operations, ensuring products are produced efficiently, on time, and within budget to meet quality standards and customer needs.

Drive customer order execution within the team according to agreed plan and in line with the priorities: safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Coordinate between different processes and support functions.

This is an onsite position located in Greenwood IN.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage production schedules, coordinate activities, and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Secure safety of the people, processes and manufactured/delivered products (quality, delivery, cost)
  • Secure the quality, via SOP audit dialogues, and execution of the SOPs.
  • Control quality, deviations and line stops.
  • Manage operational budgets, control costs, and identify ways to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Manage own cost account, P4.
  • Supervise and lead production teams, fostering a productive work environment and ensuring staff meet their potential. By own presence drive performance of the team and employees.
  • Ensure production equipment functions correctly and schedule routine maintenance to prevent downtime.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, industry standards, and environmental protection requirements.
  • Drive performance meetings, improvement meetings and related activities.
  • Set and follow up targets for the team and each employee, broken down from unit level.
  • Execute perform audits according to ALPS.

What you know:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing or Operations Management.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing or production operations.
  • Deep knowledge of production management, manufacturing processes, and industry regulations. 
  • Experience with ERP or S&OP preferred.
  • Ability to motivate teams, coordinate activities, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. 
  • Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational abilities to manage complex production processes. 
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues to ensure smooth and efficient operations. 
  • Skills in managing financial resources and controlling operational costs.
  • The ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a production team is crucial.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for liaising with different departments, suppliers, and upper management. 
  • The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing demands.
