Our BU GPHE objective is to be the undisputed #1 in all geographical areas and industries. To achieve this GCC Lund is playing a key role (Global Core Components). We are looking for a passionate Unit Manager to our Gasket Plate Heat exchange team in Lund. 

 
So, what are you going to do today? 
  

GCC Alfa Laval in Lund is one of 3 plate producing supply sites in the world within Product Group Gasketed Plate Heat exchangers. The two others are in China and India. The site is now reorganized to align in the ONE global Supply Chain set up. With the objective to become, Undisputed #1 in all geographical areas and industries, we need to focus on reduced complexity and more adapted flexibility towards the customer. With competitive Product Cost and Lead Times we must beat competition and grow market share 

 

About the job  

Key responsibilities for this role entail:  

  • Secure performance, development, and output of the unit, including financial responsibility. 

  • Set and follow up targets for the unit, broken down from factory level. 

  • Secure safety of the people, processes, and manufactured/delivered products (quality, delivery, cost). 

  • Secure Standardized work & SOP. 

  • Support and initiate supplier development activities together with support functions. 

  • Participate in NEP and give input to EPD. 

  • Secure the result of problem solving and continuous improvement activities in the unit, including Lean Six Sigma and 5S. 

  • Implement and maintain the SC ( Supply Chain ) processes within the unit. 

  • Setup and maintain BCM (business continuity management) within unit. 

  • Responsible for factory energy consumption analysis, energy saving operation procedure and improvement. 

  • Be responsible for tools maintenance team, protect IPR of tools and pressing processes. 

  • Work together with PM closely to keep the investment project delivery on time and meet the project goal. 

 

The position reports to Factory Manager of GPHE GCC 

 

What you know  

The right candidate has: 

  • Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent experience. 

  • Above 10 years working experience from production/manufacturing company. 

  • Good English skill both oral and written. 

  • Relevant Leadership and management experience. 

  • Experience from improvement tools, e g 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen. Certified GB is plus. 

  • Project work experience is plus. 

  • Financial basically knowledge. 

  • Products, manufacture, and process knowledge.
