Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

We are now looking for a Business Process Manager – Product & Service Lifecycle to join the Process Centre of Excellence, part of the Digital Transformation Office in Group Digital.

About the job

The Process Centre of Excellence drives Alfa Laval’s business process maturity by defining and embedding global end-to-end processes with minimal local variation. We establish enterprise-wide standards, governance and best practices that improve compliance, efficiency and performance across business functions.

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing and managing global processes across the Product and Service Lifecycle — from new product introduction to after-sales and installed base management.

You will focus on the processes that enable a seamless flow from product design and sales configuration into manufacturing and service. This includes supporting how new product designs are transferred to factories, how sales configurations are translated into manufacturing Bills of Materials and routings, and how manufactured products are connected to Alfa Laval’s installed base.

This is a key role in strengthening global process standardization and ensuring that business processes and digital solutions work together effectively.

Key responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Drive and support global process design within Product and Service Lifecycle
  • Assess local processes against global standards and identify gaps, deviations and improvement opportunities
  • Escalate process variances and support fit-to-global assessments, including within the OneERP Ecosystem Programme
  • Define business requirements based on As-Is and To-Be process designs, in close collaboration with Process Architects and Global Process Owners
  • Maintain process documentation in line with global standards, governance and best practices
  • Support the standardization of enabling flows for:
    • Introducing new products
    • Maintaining active products
    • Retiring products
    • Translating sales configurations into manufacturing BOM and routing
    • Connecting manufactured products to the installed base and after-sales processes
  • Collaborate with Global Process Owners, End-to-End Process Architects, Local Process Leads and other Business Process Managers to ensure consistency across end-to-end processes
  • Engage with business users to understand operational needs and support adoption of global processes
  • Partner with Group Digital roles such as Product Managers, Enterprise Architects and Solution Architects to align process design with digital capabilities

Who you are

You are a structured and collaborative process professional with a strong business mindset. You enjoy working across functions and geographies, and you know how to bring people together around common ways of working.

You are proactive, curious and comfortable challenging existing processes when there is an opportunity to improve. You can balance global standards with local business realities and communicate clearly with both business and digital stakeholders.

What you know

We believe you have:

  • Experience in business process management, process improvement or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Good understanding of product lifecycle processes, new product introduction and after-sales flows
  • Experience with manufacturing-related data and process elements such as BOM, manufacturing BOM and routing
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear process requirements
  • Experience working with global process standards, governance and process documentation
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions, cultures and organizational levels
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to identify process gaps and drive improvements

Experience from large-scale digital transformation, ERP implementation or ERP rollout programmes is considered an advantage.

What’s in it for you

You will join a global team with the mandate to shape how Alfa Laval works with end-to-end business processes. In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence global standards, contribute to major transformation initiatives and help create more efficient, scalable and connected ways of working across the company.

You will work at the intersection of business and digital transformation — helping ensure that Alfa Laval’s processes are ready for the future.
