About the job

Are you passionate about ensuring that customers have easy access to choose and order the right products for the right applications? Do you enjoy working with data, complex models, and IT systems to make product configuration seamless?

At Alfa Laval, we are seeking a Data Configuration Engineer to join our global R&D team. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, technical designers, and machinists across our 60-person global organization, helping ensure our product configurators are precise, efficient, and scalable.

As a Data Configuration Engineer, you will be based onsite at our office in Kolding, and you will focus on building, implementing, and maintaining configuration systems. Your work will include:

• Model new and existing products in our configurator systems
• Maintain and improve complex product models within the configurator
• Handle, analyze, and validate large datasets to ensure accuracy
• Support and further develop configuration tools and in-house applications
• Implement new products and updates into the configurator
• Contribute to the further development of the configurator platform
• Participate in projects involving data management and maintenance in ERP and PDM systems
• Travel approximately 5–10 days per year expected.

What you know

• An interest in data handling and digital tools, and motivation to learn how to work with product configuration systems
• Sharp analytical abilities and confidence working with complex data structures
• High level of accuracy and pride in data quality
• Proficiency in Excel and other data-handling tools for analysis and reporting
• Familiar with configuration tools, ERP systems, and PLM/PDM systems (e.g., TeamCenter) could be beneficial.
• Exposure to project work or collaboration across teams
• Strong communication skills in Danish and English, written and spoken
