About The Job

You will be responsible for developing new ideas and concepts for digital services within Decanters and High Speed Separators leveraging data analytics, AI, and IoT technologies coupled with innovative business models. The role spans the full lifecycle from early-stage ideation and market exploration to validation and testing of new digital solutions in close collaboration with customers. It includes ensuring a strong customer experience during pilot phases before handover for productization. The position also involves driving and supporting selected strategic initiatives at the Food & Pharma divisional level, contributing to both commercial growth and portfolio development of digital services.

Key responsibilities:

Business development

  • Research and analyse market trends, competitors and emerging technologies

  • Identify new revenue streams and strategic business opportunities around digital services

  • Delve in new potential areas and concept for digital services such as process, performance, maintenance and sustainability

  • Oversee and optimize the digital services portfolio commercially

  • Drive strategic initiatives that enhance the customer experience and digital engagement (e.g. subscription management implementation)

Product development

  • Support portfolio managers in developing and maintaining a clear digital services roadmap

  • Support the development and test of a mock-up of digital services, then once commercially proven, it should be handed over to Product Management and R&D for productification

  • Own the customer experience concerning the new digital solutions during the testing phase

Commercial and technical support

  • Support internal and external stakeholders with documentation, communication, installation, and testing of new digital solutions

  • Drive the development of customer success stories to support the commercial maturity of digital services in collaboration with the rest of the team and other organizations involved

  • Secure seamless interaction across departments involved, such as Services and Capital Sales, Product management, and R&D

At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position is at our Søborg office in Copenhagen or Flemingsberg in Sweden, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 30 – 40 days per year.

What You Know

  • At least 3 years of experience working in international environments, with exposure to cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration

  • Experience or strong understanding of IoT, automation, and/or AI-enabled solutions, preferably in an industrial or service context

  • Educational background in mechanical or chemical engineering is preferred; candidates with IT or business education combined with relevant technical understanding are also relevant

  • Strong proficiency in English is required

  • Additional language skills, particularly Chinese, are considered an advantage
