The position / About the Job:

In this job the Process Engineer would be responsible for:

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Possess 6-8 years of experience to do basic and detailed process engineering for Evaporation plants like PHE type/ Shell and tube evaporators.
• Experience in doing basic and detailed engineering for the Dryer plants shall be an added advantage.
• Capable of working independently on mass & energy balance, Utility calculations, PFD, PID and component specifications for standard & nonstandard evaporation Projects.
• Preparation of Instrumentation specification sheet, preparation of G.A. Drawings, preparation of Layout for the Evaporation projects.
• Preparation of  PDS for the various equipment such as Agitators, centrifugal pumps, metering pumps, Vacuum pumps, Plate Heat Exchangers, Shell & Tube Heat exchangers, and Filters.
• Preparation of the Line list the equipment list. Work closely with overseas/Local project managers and customers with vigour and initiative and complete the assigned engineering tasks on time.
• Knowledge of design codes & standards like ISO, ASME, DIN etc.
• Engineering document management on SharePoint, review systems for project KPIs
• Detailed knowledge of Cadison, Inventor, AutoCAD & related software.
• Capable of reviewing PID, equipment  GA drawings, layout drawings Piping 3D model Etc
• Do commissioning and start-up of equipment and processes for evaporator plants. Plate heat exchanger-based evaporation commissioning will be added advantage.
•  Should able to deliver training to plant operators/engineers.
• Focus on reducing project cost by standardization and reuse of documentation from previous projects
  Ready to travel local/overseas sites when required.
• Be up to date with new technology and tools. (Promis , Anytime configurator , etc).
• Detailed knowledge of Basic, FEED and detailed Engineering of EPC projects.
• Ability to handle complete projects on spec, on time & within budget.
• Equipment Sizing for pump, heat exchangers, distillation columns, control valve, PSV etc.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations, HAZOP participation.
• Performing Process simulations like CHEMCAD, HTRI etc.
• Mentoring and guiding to the junior team members.

Engineering

• Capable of reading & Checking of P&IDs and General Arrangement, Piping Isogen, Isometric drawings.
• Experience in reviewing  manufacturing drawings
• Capable of reviewing the client’s specifications.
• Well knowledge with Engineering procedures and International Codes & Standards 
• Should conversant  with  ERP system , Excel, Word & Power Point.

Project management

• Manages evaporation projects to meet established schedules and budgets.
• Supports and assists sales personnel in responding to customer requests for commercial and technical information.
• Maintains project data files, prepares customer submittals, and creates final engineering record.
• Maintains currency contracts, order backlog and margin reports.
• Coordinates claim activities through the claim support system.
