Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.
As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.
About the job
Our R&D team is going through an exciting transformation, becoming a more product-focused organization. Our goal is to deliver high customer satisfaction by using our expertise in separation technology while focusing on sustainability, quality, agility, and collaboration.
As a Project Manager, you will lead projects within our three program areas: Food & Water, Life Science, and Marine/Energy. You will work with future, new, and existing product development, quality improvements, and customer adaptations. You will also play a key role in improving our ways of working and helping us follow industry best practices.
In this role, you will:
Plan, manage, and deliver projects from start to finish.
Ensure quality and drive continuous improvements.
Track progress and report on project status.
Work closely with teams to share knowledge and develop efficient ways of working.
This is a new department where different teams previously focused on separate areas. Now, we are bringing them together. Some processes and routines are not yet fully in place, so we need someone who enjoys building structure while keeping things moving forward.
Who you are
You are a natural team leader who enjoys working with people. You see challenges as opportunities to learn and grow, and you are always ready to ask for or offer help when needed. You are confident in your area of expertise but are also open to learning new things. Most importantly, you like to have fun at work!
To succeed in this role, you should be comfortable leading projects in an environment where not everything is fully defined. You should also be able to handle different levels of complexity, with projects lasting from few months to several years.
What you know
You have an engineering background and experience working with mechanical, automation, or process systems within one of our program areas. You are familiar with industry standards and guidelines, and you have solid experience in:
Project strategy, planning, execution, and delivery.
Monitoring and reporting progress.
Quality assurance and continuous improvement.
Change management and working with different stakeholders.
Experience with Agile R&D processes is meritorious.
Knowledge of High-Speed Separators & Systems including background in Marine applications is meritorious.
Experience with cybersecurity or software development is meritorious.
Familiarity with regulations and compliance in any of our program areas is meritorious.
If you enjoy working in a fast-changing environment, shaping new ways of working, and collaborating with different teams, we look forward to your application!
What’s in it for you?
We offer a challenging position in an open and friendly environment where we help each other to develop and create value. Your work will have a true impact on Alfa Laval’s future success. Our organization is growing, and you will be part of developing and implementing new tools and ways of working.
