About us

Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About the job

In the Product and Supply Chain Value Stream, we work end-to-end to ensure product information is consistent, secure, and available throughout the product lifecycle. By doing so, we enable both a holistic and detailed digital view of our supply chain - based on correct product information.

Our ambition is to shape and live a flexible, platform-driven organization with shared processes and seamless data flows. This will enable Alfa Laval to gain real-time insights into product lifecycle status, cost, availability and demand, as well as making faster, more data-driven decisions.

We build teams with the ability to operate across engineering, supply chain, sales & service and other contexts. We foster a culture of transparency, shared ownership, and continuous improvement, supported by regular alignments, collaboration, and an agile mindset.

As a Solution Architect at Alfa Laval, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s digital transformation within product development. You’ll be responsible for designing and implementing robust Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) solutions that support Alfa Laval’s mission to deliver innovative and sustainable engineering solutions worldwide.

Your work will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs, architecting end-to-end PLM and CAD integrations, and ensuring seamless data flow across global engineering and manufacturing operations. You’ll drive process optimization, support the adoption of new technologies, and ensure that Alfa Laval’s product data is managed efficiently and securely throughout its lifecycle.

This role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on product quality, time-to-market, and operational excellence—helping Alfa Laval stay at the forefront of industrial innovation.

Objective

To leverage deep expertise in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) to architect and deliver innovative, scalable solutions that optimize product development processes, enhance collaboration, and drive digital transformation. The goal is to align technology strategies with business objectives, streamline workflows from concept to manufacturing, and ensure seamless integration of CAD systems with PLM platforms, ultimately accelerating time-to-market and improving product quality

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect End-to-End PLM Solutions: Design and implement PLM systems that integrate seamlessly with CAD tools and other enterprise applications.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to capture business needs and translate them into technical requirements.

  • Process Optimization: Analyze and streamline product development workflows for efficiency and compliance.
  • Technical Leadership: Guide development teams on best practices, standards, and solution frameworks.
  • Vendor & Tool Evaluation: Assess and recommend CAD/PLM tools and technologies.
  • Change Management: Support user adoption and training for new systems and processes.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear architecture diagrams, integration maps, and technical documentation.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee solution testing, validation, and continuous improvement.

What you know

  • Deep Knowledge of PLM & CAD: Expertise in platforms like Siemens Teamcenter, PTC Windchill, Dassault ENOVIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.
  • Integration Experience: Familiarity with APIs, middleware, and data migration strategies.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset for troubleshooting and optimizing complex systems.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication for cross-functional collaboration.
