About the Job

The Vice President of Talent Management plays a pivotal role in preparing the company for its next phase of growth. This leader will set the vision and direction for a global, strategic approach to attracting, onboarding, developing, retaining, and leveraging diverse talent. The position reports directly to the EVP Human Resources and is part of the HR Management Team.

In this role you will partner closely with senior business and HR leaders across the organisation. You will lead, coach and develop a global team of more than 35 colleagues based in Americas, Asia and Europe. The function ensures that the organization possesses the values, mindset, and capabilities needed to achieve both current and future business objectives.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement global talent management strategies aligned with Alfa Laval’s business objectives and values. Partner with business leaders and HR Management to create the people agenda and build understanding and engagement around the value of talent management across the organization.

  • Employer Branding: Maintain a strategic perspective on employer branding, supporting the development of scalable and data driven initiatives that resonate across diverse markets and target groups, while adapting to the demands of a dynamic, ever-evolving global labour market.

  • Talent Acquisition: Ensure Alfa Laval attracts and hires the right talent, aligned with business needs and timelines. Strengthen the function by building close partnership with the business, enhancing its role as a professional advisor to HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers.

  • Performance Management: Leverage existing strengths and establish an effective process for succession planning initiatives, which are crucial for the company’s long-term success. Equip leaders with the training and support needed to maximize the impact of performance management practices across the organization.

  • People Development: Establish a global framework with the capacity to quickly scale and meet the demands of business growth. Effectively engage and collaborate with business units to influence and support leadership development, ensuring a strong talent pipeline for the organization’s future growth.

The position can be based in Søborg - Denmark, Lund - Sweden, or involve frequent commuting to these sites.

Who You Are

You have a proven track record of enabling business growth as an HR leader in global matrix organizations, ideally within industrial manufacturing. You should have experience building a high-performing HR function with global reach, aligned to business needs. Your leadership style focuses on elevating competence levels and fostering a partnership mindset.

We expect you to be a strategic thinker with a structured approach and a strong interest in both people and business. In your interactions, you demonstrate a holistic perspective and a collaborative attitude, always prioritizing company goals. Strong stakeholder management skills within a multicultural environment are essential to succeed in this role.

In addition, expertise in Talent Management, Talent Development or Talent Acquisition is a plus, and a background as an HR Business Partner is an advantage.

What’s in it for you?

We offer a challenging position in an open and friendly environment where we help each other to develop and create value. Your work will have a true impact on Alfa Laval’s future success, driving towards Positive Impact for our Planet.
