About the job

As an integral member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in assembling mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components into finished products that meet Alfa Laval’s quality standards. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the production of wastewater treatment equipment and support continuous improvement efforts. This is an on-site opportunity located in Houston.

As a part of the team, you will:

• Assemble mechanical components using engineering drawings and established procedures

• Wire and pipe standard and non-standard assemblies to meet quality and schedule requirements

• Test completed assemblies and correct discrepancies to ensure product functionality

• Provide feedback for safety, product improvement, and cost-saving opportunities

• Promote 5S culture by maintaining tools and a clean, organized work area

• Follow work instructions provided by the team leader and collaborate with team members

What you know:

You have a high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) with relevant experience, and:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in mechanical equipment assembly or a similar field

• Ability to read and work from basic engineering drawings

• Experience using pneumatic and hand tools (saws, drills, grinders, hydraulic pumps)

• Understanding of basic electrical and hydraulic terminology

• Behaviors: Punctual, reliable, self-motivated, detail-oriented, team-oriented
