HR Partner in Business

The HR Partner serves as the primary HR point of contact for assigned business units, ensuring effective execution of people strategies, employee lifecycle processes, employee relations, performance management, workforce discipline, and HR governance. The role works closely with business leaders, HR Shared Services, and Talent Acquisition to deliver seamless HR services, enhance employee experience, and support business objectives through efficient people practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnering & Manager Support

  • Serve as the first point of contact for managers and employees on all HR-related matters.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations, attendance management, performance concerns, role changes, workforce planning, and policy interpretation.
  • Partner with business leaders to understand workforce challenges and support people-related decision-making.
  • Ensure consistent and fair implementation of HR policies, processes, and governance standards.

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle Management

  • Partner with HR Shared Services to ensure timely and accurate execution of employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, confirmations, transfers, promotions, and exits.
  • Support employee query management, HR transactions, documentation, and data updates.
  • Monitor service delivery timelines and ensure effective closure of HR requests.
  • Drive a smooth onboarding and offboarding experience for employees.

Talent Acquisition Partnership

  • Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to support workforce planning and hiring requirements.
  • Coordinate requisition approvals, hiring priorities, interview scheduling, offer follow-ups, and onboarding readiness.
  • Track recruitment progress and provide regular updates to business stakeholders.
  • Support hiring governance and workforce planning initiatives.

Performance Management & Employee Engagement

  • Drive the execution of goal setting, reviews, feedback discussions, performance ratings, and performance improvement processes.
  • Monitor completion and adherence to performance management timelines.
  • Conduct employee connects, pulse checks, and engagement initiatives to enhance employee experience.
  • Partner with managers to identify retention risks and implement engagement and retention actions.

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Manage employee grievances, workplace concerns, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution in a fair and confidential manner.
  • Support investigations and escalate sensitive cases to relevant HR, Legal, or Compliance teams when required.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, labour regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain employee records, documentation, and audit readiness.

Workforce Analytics & Reporting

  • Maintain and analyse HR dashboards and workforce metrics including headcount, attrition, hiring, absenteeism, employee relations cases, and engagement indicators.
  • Provide actionable insights to business leaders and HR leadership.
  • Identify workforce trends, risks, and opportunities to support business decision-making.

Key Deliverables

  • Timely closure of employee lifecycle activities and HR transactions.
  • Effective resolution of employee and manager queries.
  • High completion rates for performance management processes.
  • Strong employee engagement and retention outcomes.
  • Accurate HR data, reporting, and compliance adherence.
  • Consistent implementation of HR policies and governance standards.
  • Strong collaboration between business leaders, HR Shared Services, and Talent Acquisition teams.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of HR operations, employee lifecycle management, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, compliance, labour practices, and workforce management.
  • Experience working with HRMS platforms and HR reporting tools.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong execution focus, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and employee-centric mindset.

Education & Experience

  • MBA/PGDM in Human Resources, MSW, or equivalent HR qualification preferred.
  • 5-8 years of experience in HR Business Partnering, HR Operations, Employee Relations, or Generalist HR roles.
  • Experience supporting diverse business functions in corporate, operations, manufacturing, BFSI, technology, or service environments is preferred.
