About the job…

The Production Master Planner is responsible for Developing capacity plans, determining desired inventory levels, and providing an overall vision for production.

Translating forecasts and orders into actionable production schedules, coordinating resource allocation, and ensuring timely deliveries.

This is an onsite position located in Greenwood IN.

Responsibilities include:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive, integrated master schedules for production, considering demand forecasts, manufacturing routes, resource availability, and project milestones. 
  • Drive and coordinate supply chain for the factory, securing it's in line with expectations from the product group.
  • Serve as a central point of contact, coordinating with various departments, including sales, manufacturing, logistics, and project management, to gather requirements and integrate their activities into the master schedule. 
  • Drive improvement projects related to supply chain.
  • Analyze and follow up on reliability of forecasts.
  • Track schedule adherence, analyze performance data, and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress, identify bottlenecks, and pinpoint areas for improvement.
  • Proactively identify and resolve scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and other issues that could impact project or production timelines. 
  • Engage in long-term production planning and portfolio scheduling to ensure demand forecasts can be met and that processes are efficient and feasible.

  • Evaluate the success of current schedules and processes, recommending and implementing improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs. 
  • Develop customized reports for stakeholders, providing clear, concise updates on schedule status, progress, and potential risks.

What you know:

  • Bachelor's Degree: in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
  • Min 3 years in manufacturing, production planning, materials management, or supply chain management.
  • Experience managing and scheduling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expertise with ERP/ Proficiency with scheduling software, preferred.
  • Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make informed, data-driven decisions to optimize schedules.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities effectively.
  • ability to communicate clearly, negotiate, influence stakeholders, and resolve conflicts across different levels of the organization.
  • Sound understanding of supply chain processes, manufacturing planning, and demand management principles.
  • The ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing demands.

At Alfa Laval, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine your total compensation package. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job, background, skills, and experience to get it right.  The base salary for this role is typically $77,000.00 to $97,000.00.
