Background

Alfa Laval is on an ambitious digital transformation journey. As part of this, we have established a global organization working across the full Alfa Laval landscape to accelerate and strengthen our commercial solutions—ultimately driving greater customer and business value.

We are scaling our ways of working based on the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), with a strong focus on end-to-end value streams. Within our Sales & Service value stream, we are now looking for a highly experienced Scrum Master to join our Data & Analytics domain.

This area is business-critical and rapidly evolving, enabling data-driven decision-making and advanced analytics capabilities across markets and functions. To succeed, we take a customer-centric, “outside-in” approach—ensuring that what we build creates tangible impact for both customers and the business.

About the job

As a Scrum Master in the Data & Analytics domain, you will operate at the center of a complex, high-impact delivery setup. You will be responsible for coaching and enabling 2–3 cross-functional teams (5–10 people each), working with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-quality data products.

This is not a facilitation-only role. You are expected to actively drive team maturity, challenge ways of working, and ensure alignment between team execution and broader business objectives.

You will play a key role in strengthening SAFe adoption across the Agile Release Train (ART), working closely with Release Train Engineers (RTEs), and fellow Scrum Masters to improve flow, predictability, and value delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Drive team performance and accountability towards clear, outcome-based goals
  • Facilitate all key agile ceremonies with a strong focus on quality, effectiveness, and continuous improvement
  • Coach teams to become truly self-organizing and high-performing, with increasing ownership and autonomy
  • Actively identify and remove impediments—escalating when needed and ensuring sustainable solutions
  • Challenge and evolve ways of working to improve flow, predictability, and delivery of business value
  • Support and coach Product Owners in backlog management, prioritization, and stakeholder alignment
  • Promote and embed SAFe and Lean-Agile principles across teams and stakeholders
  • Collaborate closely with RTEs, Agile Coaches, and other Scrum Masters to strengthen ART performance
  • Ensure strong alignment and readiness for Planning interval (PI) and other ART events
  • Contribute to building a high-performing, learning-oriented agile community
  • Support with communication towards our target user and stakeholder

Who you are

You are a senior Scrum Master with a strong track record of driving impact in complex, cross-functional environments.

You bring a structured and analytical mindset, combined with the confidence to challenge both teams and stakeholders constructively. You are not satisfied with “running ceremonies”—you focus on outcomes, team effectiveness, and real business value.

You are comfortable operating in ambiguity and know how to navigate organizational complexity. You build trust quickly and are able to influence at multiple levels—from team members to senior stakeholders.

At the same time, you remain pragmatic and hands-on, knowing when to coach, when to step in, and when to push for change.

What you know

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master in complex agile setups, preferably within SAFe or similar scaled frameworks
  • Strong understanding of data and analytics environments (e.g., data platforms, BI, or advanced analytics) and the specific challenges they bring to agile delivery
  • Solid experience working closely with Product Owners and business stakeholders in value-driven development
  • Demonstrated ability to improve team performance, flow, and delivery predictability
  • Experience working in global, cross-functional organizations with multiple stakeholders
  • Relevant academic background within IT, engineering, or similar
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Azure DevOps or similar is an advantage
