Role – Senior OT Datacenter & Windows Specialist

We are already providing IT services and support to Alfa Laval companies around the world, and we are now expanding our operations to meet future demands.

Alfa Laval has invested in a ‘Global IT Delivery Centre’ in Pune with the vision to expand and deliver IT services as an extension to our global teams located in Sweden, Denmark and the USA. We focus on cost-effective solutions and improved performance to create a unique Alfa Laval experience!

Who are we looking for

We are looking for a new member for our central Operations Applications & Infrastructure team as “Sr OT Datacenter & Windows Specialist” with 10+ years of experience, to play a crucial role in developing, monitoring, configuring, maintaining, and supporting Alfa Laval’s OT Datacenter Infrastructure. You will work with development, operations, and continuous improvements according to SafeAgile, and with incident and problem management according to ITIL, 24/5, together with the team in Sweden.

We are looking for someone with excellent problem-solving skills and keen technical interest, driven and self-motivated to find creative solutions to complex problems, and interested in mentoring and training others. You should have relevant and significant experience from similar roles in other global companies.

Requirements and Responsibilities

What we need:

  • Configure, install, and integrate VMWare ESXi hosts, vCenter, and related virtualization infrastructure.

  • Monitor datacenter performance, capacity, and integrity.

  • Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade company’s Windows servers, Active Directory, and SCCM deployment infrastructure.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve datacenter, virtualization, and Windows server issues, implementing security measures and proactively optimizing performance.

  • Handle day-to-day datacenter operations, including backup and disaster recovery using Veeam.

  • Manage certificate lifecycle and administration for secure communications.

  • Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness using PowerShell and other automation tools.

  • Mentor team members on technical issues.

  • Communicate with users when needed.

  • Suggest improvements to datacenter performance, capacity, and scalability.

  • Contribute on development tasks as a part of the central Agile team.

  • Keep detailed records of configurations, changes, and incidents.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Graduate preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Excellent communication skills: collaboration, curiosity, and customer focus are a must.

  • Proficient in VMWare vSphere, Windows Server (2019/2022), Active Directory, SCCM, and PowerShell.

  • Experience with datacenter operations, virtualization, and automation.

  • Familiarity with backup solutions (Veeam preferred) and certificate management.

  • Solid background in Windows administration, datacenter and architecture.

  • In-depth understanding of virtualization concepts, clustering, and high availability.

  • Experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Qualys etc).

  • Sharp troubleshooting skills.

  • Willingness and eagerness to learn new systems/technology.

  • Great at organizing, mentoring, prioritizing, and multitasking.

  • Experience with ITIL.

What we expect:

  • Industry-related experience as a Senior Datacenter Engineer and Windows Administrator.

  • Professional certification (e.g., VMWare VCP, MCSE) is preferred.

  • In-depth understanding of virtualization, Windows Server, Active Directory, and SCCM.

  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam).

  • Experience with certificate lifecycle management.

  • Hands-on experience in datacenter operations, virtualization, and automation.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell).

  • Experience with monitoring and analysis tools.

Work Location: Pune

Working time: 24*5 shifts on rotation basis

Working Days: 5 days a week (3days WFO, 2 days WFH)
