Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers, and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.

As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About the role

In this role you will be part of the Product and Portfolio Management team and instrumental for growing the Food & Pharma service business in Business Unit Separation Technologies, where they have a huge install base to capture in Decanter and High-Speed Separator product areas.

As a Service Product Manager, you will play a key role in driving and safeguarding the competitiveness of our service upgrade products throughout their full lifecycle, including mechanical, automation and digital offerings. Working at the intersection of Sales, Service, Engineering, R&D, Quality, and Supply, you will ensure that our service products remain aligned with market needs, customer expectations, and evolving product platforms. In this role, you will:

  • Understand service‑specific needs for upgrade products, shape and execute the service‑product lifecycle strategy to deliver ongoing value to customers as well as the service organization.

  • Build and manage a 3–18‑month roadmap, driving upgrade initiatives, prioritization, product‑council decisions, and cross‑functional requirements for R&D, Engineering, and Supply.

  • Own and oversee obsolescence planning, cost‑structure analysis, product cost approval and other aspects, including chemicals used in decanter and separator solutions.

  • Manage the product portfolio and monitor performance, ensuring order‑intake, margin, and quality targets are met.

  • Collaborate closely with Application Development, other Product Managers, Program Management, and Product Marketing to ensure strong application fit, platform perspective, economies of scale and effective market execution.

At Alfa Laval, we embrace a hybrid work model, providing you the flexibility to work from home when it aligns with your tasks. This position can be at our Søborg or Flemingsberg office, with an expected travel commitment of approximately 25 – 35 days per year.

What you know

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; background may be in engineering, business with technical experience, or a related field

  • 8–10+ years of experience in product or service management, ideally within industrial equipment or comparable B2B industries

  • Strong track record of driving product or service lifecycle management in complex, cross-functional environments

  • Highly developed analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn insights into actionable strategies

  • Solid understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and competitor landscapes

  • Proven ability to build compelling business cases and scale service offerings for commercial impact

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with experience engaging senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams

Who you are

You thrive in a cross-functional environment, bringing clarity and structure to complex product challenges. You are proactive, analytical, and a strong problem solver with a growth mindset, focused on creating customer value and business impact. You combine strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into clear plans and execution with R&D and stakeholders. You take ownership, drive progress, and balance long-term direction with day-to-day delivery. You are a strong communicator who can articulate product vision and build alignment across teams. As a leader and coach, you empower others, foster collaboration, and demonstrate resilience in driving change.
