Role – Sr VMDR & IT Infrastructure Operations Administrator

But now we want to be even better! We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Sr. VMDR & IT Operations Administrator / Engineer for our IT Infrastructure Operations  in India. We are already providing IT services and support to Alfa Laval companies around the world, and we are now expanding our operations to meet future demands.

Alfa Laval has invested in a ‘Global IT Delivery Centre’ in Pune with the vision to expand and deliver IT services as an extension to our global teams located in Sweden, Denmark and the USA. We focus on cost-effective solutions and improved performance to create a unique Alfa Laval experience!

Who are we looking for

We are looking for a new member for our Core IT & Infrastructure Operations team as “Sr VMDR & Infrastructure Operations” to play a crucial role in monitoring, configuring, maintaining, and supporting an organization’s Server Infrastructure platform. Your responsibilities will span technical acumen, customer service, and ensuring seamless access to tools and applications. You’ll address any issues that arise within the platform, safeguard data, and support productivity and collaboration tools.

We are looking for a Sr VMDR & IT Infrastructure Operations with 5-7 yrs experience to develop and maintain functional and secure networks. In this role you will be responsible for supporting, configuring, monitoring and maintaining company IT Infrastructure globally which are 24x7. Additionally You will mentor a team of engineers to troubleshoot and optimize our Servers and networks.

In this role, you should have excellent problem-solving skills and thorough knowledge of VMDR, Server Patch Management, Trouble shooting, Server administration and architecture. If you’re also passionate about Server VMDR and trouble shooting, we’d like to meet you.

Requirements and Responsibilities

What we need:

• Experience in Active Directory, Group policies, DHCP, DNS, LDAP, FTP.
• Understanding of networking concept like TCP/IP, Firewall, DMZ,VPN, Load Balancing etc.
• Server installation, configuration, upgradation and troubleshooting
• Monitoring Server environment
• DNS replication issues, ADFS issues
• Vmware trouble shooting, monitoring and installation
• ESX server installation and configuration.
• Vulnerability Management, Patch Management (Tools like Qualys, SCCM, intune)
• Knowledge of Veeam Backup software
• Ready to work in Shifts 24x7 and monitor environment
• SCCM environment knowledge and trouble shooting.
• Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness
• Knowledge of Azure environment or certification
• Handle day to day Server trouble shooting.
• Resolve issues tiers of support have escalated by troubleshooting cloud, Global and local infrastructure.
• Mentor team members on technical issues.
• Communicate with users when needed.
• Suggest improvements to server performance, capacity and scalability.
• Create Knowledgebase to share knowledge and uplift other team members.

Requirements and Skills:

• Graduate in any field.
• Microsoft Server, Azure certification.

• Excellent Communication Skills i.e. Communication, collaboration, and curiosity is a must.

What we expect:

• Industry-related experience as a Server Administrator
• Profession Certification like (Microsoft Server, Azure and ITIL)
• In-depth understanding of the Server environment like, AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, ADFS, TCP/IP, DMZ, AD policies, Backup, Storage devices or Server etc
• Server vulnerability and patch management,  upgrading OS, SQL servers, life cycle management of server and its hardware.
• Monitor Alfa Laval environment in shift 24x7
• Hands on experience on servers troubleshooting, installation, upgradation etc
• Sharp troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently.
• Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking.
• Organizational and mentoring skills
• Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft, Azure) is advantage
• Good experience of handling Server administration and related issues handling.
• Experience with VMDR Tools, like Qualys.
• In-depth understanding of AD, GPO, DHCP, Powershell, SQL Server etc
• Experience with Server and Network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools (e.g. SolarWinds network tools)
• Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
• Hands on experience in Server Administration, Trouble shooting.
• Sharp troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently.
• Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking.
• Organizational and mentoring skills

Work Location: Pune

Working time: 24x7 in shifts

Working Days: 5 days a week (3days WFO, 2 days WFH) might change in future.
