The R&D department is looking for a R&D Test Engineer in Monza site (Regular Contract)

About the job

You will be part of the Product Development Department which is accountable for the development of fuel supply systems and high-speed separator modules for the marine industry. The team is based in Monza (Italy) with offices also in Tumba (Sweden) and Shanghai (China).

The Quality Team is composed of 4 members in Monza and one in Shanghai and it is also in charge of a testing workshop for prototypes.

Who you are 

We are looking for a person with:

  • Hands on experience in commissioning, testing and repair of machinery, e.g. pump skids or centrifugal separator systems
  • Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Open mind
  • Communication capabilities
  • Flexibility
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships.

What about the job

In your role you will:

  • Keep the test area operative and in working order
  • Take part to the prototypes test execution and support engineers for operative activities
  • Take part to commissioning and test of prototypes off-site (within Europe)
  • Define and update test area procedures
  • Guarantee safety procedures are respected by people accessing the test area

What you know 

  • Background in mechanics and automation
  • Understand the basics in the fuel conditioning and separation process on ships
  • Knowledge of Safety principles and rules
  • Experience in test and troubleshooting, on ship experience would be a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft ® Windows environments and Office package (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Available for travels upon necessity (about 20% of time)
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
