About the job
The Research & Development department within the Business Unit High-Speed Separators (HSS) is responsible for developing high-speed separators used in various industries such as Life Science, Food & Water, Marine, and Energy.
As a Test Engineer, you will be part of the Testing Technology team, working alongside experienced and motivated colleagues. The team currently consists of eight test engineers. You will take part in development projects of varying character and length.
You will work primarily in our Innovation Lab, a lab environment where theory meets practice. Your role includes test planning, assembling test setups, executing tests, evaluating results, and providing high-level technical and analytical reports. You will collaborate closely with R&D, Sales, and Service, gaining a broad understanding of our products and projects. As this is a hands-on role, you will be working with the entire separator, identifying issues firsthand and having a direct impact on product development. You’ll be translating theory into practical solutions and influencing the design based on your insights.
Who are you?
We believe you are structured, result-oriented, and communicative. You take responsibility and thrive in both practical and theoretical tasks. Experience from assembly work, other technical roles, or previous work with separators and/or within the process industry is highly valued.
Your ability to identify problems and take action makes a real difference. You enjoy diving into the details while keeping the big picture in mind. Experience outside the mechanical field is also appreciated, and an innovative mindset will help you succeed in this dynamic and varied role.
What’s in it for you?
We offer a challenging position in an open and friendly environment where we help each other to develop and create value. Your work will have a true impact on Alfa Laval’s future success.
