Who you are
You are a proactive, self-driven Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and requires minimal guidance to deliver results. With a NEBOSH certificate and auditing qualification, you bring a solid understanding of UK legislation and ISO standards (especially 45001, with knowledge of 9001 and 14001 as a plus). You have experience delivering training and a good grasp of quality systems, ideally complemented by exposure to factory operations within an international organisation.
Your strong leadership and corporate experience enable you to confidently engage with management teams and collaborate across departments, including service centre, sales teams and field service teams. You are comfortable working closely with both on-site and off-site stakeholders and your ability to work independently, combined with your collaborative spirit, makes you a key player in driving HSE excellence at Alfa Laval.
Key tasks:
Lead and implement change management initiatives within Health & Safety, ensuring smooth adoption of new policies, procedures, and safety culture improvements across the organization.
Keep risk assessment updated and in compliance with applicable legislation, with focus on equipment/plants, working processes/areas, chemicals and other relevant risks.
Keep environment analysis updated and in compliance with applicable legislation.
Develop HSE management systems, with focus on auditing process, KPIs management, training/competences development, SOPs and instructions and improvement projects/activities.
Handle quality aspects directly related to manufacturing processes/products to guarantee customer requirements (if defined) are completely fulfilled.
Support line management in their (line management) QHSE accountability.
Run or participate in continuous improvement projects/activities in HSE area, in particular to prevent any kind of injuries and occupational diseases, to prevent and limit the impacts coming from our activities in the environment and to increase the quality standard of our processes/products and in alignment with Alfa Laval Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Strategy.
What You Know:
Experience working with ISO standards, specifically ISO 9001 and ISO 14001, and ideally ISO 45001
Familiarity with other recognised safety schemes, such as Achilles, SafeContractor, or equivalent
NEBOSH certification as a minimum requirement
Strong understanding of Health & Safety culture, including how to promote, embed, and continuously improve it across the organisation
Experience with auditing processes (internal and/or external).
Experience working within an internation/global organisation with a matrix structure.
Some familiarity with quality and quality processes as part of QHSE.
