Job Description

Global Business Development (~ 30%)

  • Develop & implement nuclear roadmap which will lead to regaining market share in capital sales and full coverage of service opportunities

  • Work with public affairs & governmental relations to enable acceptance of Alfa Laval in China

  • Secure Alfa Laval brand & position with key players (CGN, CNNC, SPIC, …) at customer’s group/strategic level and project/tactical level for new build & maintenance.

  • Secure internal alignment within Alfa Laval Business Units / Sales Company for both Capital sales and Service and open sharing culture

  • Connect with other stakeholders in other regions, be the ambassador of nuclear industry in/outside of China across various stakeholders: external/internal, global/regional, capital sales /service

  • Develop nuclear competences and safety culture in the organization

  • Ensure competitive portfolio of products 

  • Set expectations to the factory in JY to fulfil the demands of nuclear industry (e.g. design capabilities, certification, processes, supply chain …)

  • Consolidate competitor intelligence inputs

Capital Sales Business Development (~ 50%)

  • Regain nuclear market in China and Alfa Laval position with key customers (CGN, CNNC, SPIC, Huaneng, …) for new build plants. Ensure revenue growth/market share.

  • Secure Alfa Laval position in the Hualong One reactor design, SMR projects and create references in/outside China.

  • Organize all stakeholders involved including Division/BU and sales company to achieve growth targets.

  • Secure data drive organization striving for commercial excellence: lead generation/meeting notes, identification of opportunities, smooth quoting process and correct representation of information in OneCRM and other tools & systems.

Services Business Development (~ 20%)

  • Identify new opportunities for, set up, negotiate, sign, renew and ensure proper execution of frame agreements.

  • Prepare spare parts quotations in collaboration with bid hub teams when necessary, secure POs.

  • Promote Service Offering (E, H, K scopes).

  • Report any major opportunity, news, local org changes, important minutes of meetings through OneCRM or lessons learned platform.

  • Visits on site to secure end-users satisfaction, collect lessons learned, update IB, create opportunities.

  • Build a strategic stock of plates and gaskets based on forecast.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above and with over 5 years' experience in dedicated business development roles.

  • Strong specialization in process equipment industry linking to nuclear industry.

  • Strong industry network, business acumen and communication skills.

  • A team player comfortable working cross organization and cultures, both in China and in a truly international environment.

  • Will to travel in- and outside of China Mainland.

  • Fluent English, both in speaking and writing.
