About the Job:

• Possess 6-8 years’ experience to do basic and detailed process engineering for Evaporation plants like PHE type/ Shell and tube evaporators, dryers, ZLD, ATFD etc.
• Understanding, implementing complex customer specifications like PSU / Govt. / RIL / EIL / tkIS / Fluor / Adnoc project shall be an added advantage.
• Analyze process requirements for evaporation systems, including capacity, duty, product characteristics, utilities, and performance guarantees. Evaluation of Project scope in terms of supply, spares, documentation, Inspection, testing & certification.  
• Review customer inquiries, RFQs, and technical specifications. Technical analysis and interpretation of customers’ enquiry documents and preparation of clarification/deviation list.
• Attending technical clarification meetings with customers.
• Capable of working independently on mass & energy balance, Utility calculations, PFD, PID and component specifications for standard & nonstandard evaporation Projects.
• Preparation of Instrumentation specification sheet, preparation of G.A. Drawings, preparation of Layout for the Evaporation projects.
• Preparation of PDS for various equipment such as Agitators, centrifugal pumps, metering pumps, Vacuum pumps, Plate Heat Exchangers, Shell & Tube Heat exchangers, Filters.
• Preparation of Line list, Equipment list. Work closely with overseas/Local project manager and customers with initiative and complete the assigned engineering tasks on time. Release technical procurement clearances on time.
• Coordination with vendors- Enquiry, compliance, offers and elicit relevant documents.
• Knowledge of design codes & standards like ISO, ASME, DIN, API etc.
• Engineering document management on share-point, review systems for project KPIs
• Capable of reviewing PID, equipment GA drawings, layout drawings Piping 3D model Etc.
• Do commissioning and start-up of equipment and processes for evaporator plants. Plate heat exchanger-based evaporation commissioning will be added advantage.
• Should be able to deliver training to plant operators/engineers.
• Focus on reducing project cost by standardization and reuse of documentation from previous projects. Ready to travel to local/overseas sites whenever required.
• Coordination with vendors- Enquiry, compliance, offers and elicit relevant documents.
• Be up to date with new technology and tools. (Promis, anytime configurator, etc.).
• Detailed knowledge of Basic, FEED and detailed Engineering of EPC projects.
• Equipment Sizing for pump, heat exchangers, distillation columns, control valve, PSV etc.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations, HAZOP participation, risk assessment.
• Performing Process simulations like CHEMCAD, HTRI etc.
• Handling and coordination of cost calculation for packaged equipment (mainly Evaporators).
• Prepare quotation documentation and evaluate quotation text.
• Secure close cooperation between Sales Company, Sales Unit and E&S in the selection of technical solutions and cost levels.
• Maintain the cost database for the actual application.
• Work on pre-order documentation- Bid submission schedule, Deviations / Clarification List, P&ID, GA, Documents Schedule, Project Schedule, Project Costing, Technical offer etc.
• Prepare Design Basis based on technical proposal and scope of the Project.

What can you be?

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and having relevant experience in the same field.
• 6-8 Years of experience in the same field.
• Good understanding of thermal processes and evaporation technology.
• Ability to interpret PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, tender specifications, and process calculations.
• Knowledge of system components such as pumps, valves, instrumentation, separators, condensers, and heat exchangers.
• Commercial awareness with ability to balance technical compliance, cost, and risk.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Structured and detail-oriented working style.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP tools.
• Familiarity with costing tools and proposal management processes.
• Good written and spoken English; other languages are a plus.
• Experience in international tendering and customer-facing discussions.
• Ability to manage multiple bids in parallel under time pressure.
• Problem-solving mindset with strong ownership and accountability.
