About the job                                                                                                                                   

With this position you will be part of the Compliance function in the Business Unit High Speed Separators which supports the whole business around the separator, from Design, Source, Make to Deliver. As a Product Compliance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet all relevant regulatory and safety standards. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to assess, document, and implement compliance measures, helping to uphold our commitment to product quality and safety.  

Keys responsibilities will include: 

  • Monitoring existing and upcoming relevant marine classification rules

  • Setting up overall strategy around marine approval

  • Support product development projects with marine approval plan

  • Maintain database for marine approval certificates

  • Maintain existing marine approvals at renewals and product updates

  • Deliver marine compliance training

  • Identify and drive improvement activities in the marine approval process

  • Support product management and sales companies regarding approval related questions

Who you are:

  • You are thorough, methodical, dedicated, curious and you have a problem-solving attitude.

  • You are self-driven and work in a proactive way.

  • You are a strong communicator since the ability to discuss your working area is essential and you need to be fluent in English (oral & written).

  • In order to succeed you should be able to work both independently and be a team player.

What you know

Technical background (B.Sc. or M.Sc degree with relevant specialization)

Previous experience in below areas is an advantage:

  • Marine and/or other product approval,

  • Product development

  • Driving improvement activities

If you lack experience of above but have the right capabilities, this role can initially be on a support and administration focus. This will later be developed into a more self-managed role driving marine classification towards classification societies and notified bodies.
