Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping.
As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.
Who You Are
You are a self-motivated team player with the ability to easily network in an international and cross-cultural environment, working in line with Alfa Laval drivers; Action, Interaction, and Satisfaction. You are driven and see solutions rather than problems, effectively prioritizing and executing tasks. A focus on continuous improvement is in your DNA. You build trust, by clear communication with no prestige.
If the above sounds like you, this position might be just what you’re looking for!
About The Job
Alfa Laval's Southeast Asia region runs its finance and supply chain operations on a single regional ERP platform across six countries: Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. We are looking for a Regional ERP Lead to take functional ownership of this platform and ensure it supports the business processes running on it.
Job Description
Functional Ownership
Process expertise: Develop end-to-end understanding of finance and supply chain processes across order management, purchasing, inventory, logistics, accounts receivable and payable, master data, and period close.
Issue diagnosis: Analyse recurring issues to root cause, distinguishing system defects from process design gaps and user capability gaps, and route each to the appropriate resolution path.
Solution design: Translate business requirements into practical system and process solutions, determining whether the resolution lies in configuration, process change, or training.
Bridge to Group ERP
Regional counterpart: Act as the single regional functional contact to the Group ERP organisation, presenting issues with the analysis and business context needed for resolution.
Change and release: Assess Group-driven system changes for regional impact, and coordinate regional testing, validation, and rollout through releases and enhancements.
Escalation management: Raise regional priorities to Group ERP supported by evidence of volume, business impact, and affected entities.
Capability and Ownership Building
Regional ERP Centre of Excellence: Establish and lead the regional ERP Centre of Excellence, convening named key users and process owners from each country and business stream through a regular working cadence.
Process documentation: Build and maintain process playbooks with worked scenarios, creating a knowledge base that is not dependent on any individual.
User enablement: Design and deliver training to business users across the region, in person and remotely, and run a regional user community for questions and shared practice.
Knowledge transfer: Build business capability so that routine process questions are answered by process owners and documentation rather than escalated to IT.
Analysis and Improvement
Reporting: Develop and maintain reporting that gives business stakeholders visibility of operational performance, including backlog, inventory, working capital, and process compliance.
Automation: Identify recurring manual effort and reduce it using Power Platform, SQL, Excel automation, and integration tooling.
Data integrity: Drive master data quality and process standardisation across regional entities.
What You Know
Essential
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
Eight or more years of professional experience, of which at least four in a role combining business process and ERP systems, whether as a functional analyst, business analyst, ERP consultant, or as a finance or supply chain professional who became the ERP expert for their function.
Deep working knowledge of finance or supply chain processes and how they are executed in an ERP environment, with the ability to challenge process design rather than only process execution.
Demonstrated experience explaining systems and processes to non-technical business users, with a track record of building understanding rather than simply resolving requests.
Strong analytical skills, with the judgement to distinguish a system problem from a process problem.
Track record of influencing business stakeholders without formal authority over them.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Advantageous
Experience with any mid-market or tier-two ERP platform. Platform-specific experience is not required; training will be provided. Process depth is valued over product familiarity.
Experience supporting multiple countries or legal entities.
Involvement in an ERP migration, implementation, or data harmonisation programme.
SQL, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, or advanced Excel.
Experience establishing a Centre of Excellence, key user network, or similar governance structure.
Additional Southeast Asian language capability.
