The mission of the Senior DevSecOps and Integration Engineer is to bridge the gap between high-level code and heavy, spinning industrial machines, delivering security validated solutions. If you want to use your DevSecOps and Python/C# skills where code moves physical iron—not just cloud data—read on.
About R&D
Where Code Meets Heavy Iron
We are a diverse R&D department building massive industrial decanter centrifuges. We are moving our Operational Technology (OT) systems into the modern era of cloud integration, modular software, and cybersecurity compliance.
About the Job
We’re looking for a DevSecOps & System Integration Engineer to build the digital backbone, automated test pipelines, and secure connections that bridge physical machines with Azure. This role sits at the unique intersection of virtual and physical systems. Validation steps may include starting up industrial machines and monitoring sensor outputs.
Together with your Swedish counterpart, you will act as an architectural bridge within our Smart Separator Systems department. You won’t be tuning PID loops, but you will work closely with the brilliant minds who do, helping them adopt smooth Git workflows, automated tests and modern software practices.
We have a library of great, custom validation tools written in Python and various scripts, but they aren't automated yet. Your mission helps us implement steps in the pipeline true Testing as Code within our pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
Own the Pipeline: Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (with dependencies on other Git repositories) for industrial control software.
Testing as Code: Refactor standalone testing scripts into maintainable, automated test frameworks integrated directly into the deployment pipeline.
DevSecOps & Cybersecurity: Integrate security automation (vulnerability scanning, secrets management via current best practice) to naturally fulfill cybersecurity compliance.
Edge & Factory Integration: Enable secure, reliable data flows between our physical decanters, edge devices, and local, non-cloud factory systems.
What You Know
You have a degree in systems or computational engineering, and relevant experience in the area.
Strong Programming Background: Proficient in Python (highly preferred) or C#. You need the skills to write clean, structured code that can interface both cloud and local, on-premises hardware and machines.
Solid DevOps & Git Experience: Strong experience with Azure DevOps, Git, branching strategies, and building automated pipelines.
Hardware Curious / Tinkerer: Ideally, you have experience playing with the physical world (microcontrollers, Arduinos, Raspberry Pis, or embedded C) and understand real-world hardware constraints.
Integration Knowledge: Familiarity with APIs and integration patterns. Knowledge of industrial protocols (Profinet, Modbus) is a plus.
What’s in it for you?
In the hiring manager’s words: "This is not your typical rapid, chaotic cloud-development desk job. It is R&D, and we view Software engineers as specialists with all other engineering types.”
You will work with highly specialized, brilliant professionals who value thoughtful, concise, and accurate communication. If you want to be the one pushing the envelope to make development faster in a deeply methodical R&D environment, this is your home.
