About the job…

The Business Financial Analyst provides financial analysis to support decision-making processes for company managers, execute the comprehensive financial forecast for annual & quarterly forecasts, month end closing entries, reporting support, ongoing financial support for central and real estate functions, investment analysis, and various ad hoc analysis and support as needed.  

This is an onsite position located in Richmond, VA.

Responsibilities include:

  • FP&A partner for Service Division & Service Operations, including fixed asset investment analysis.
  • Coordinate & consolidate ALUS quarterly & annual forecasts for management review & submission to Sweden using the Adaptive Planning forecast tool.
  • Prepare annual central allocation matrix and allocation keys, including specific financial support for IT service, marketing, legal, HR, Real Estate division, and other corporate functions.
  • Prepare supplemental forecast forms including IS/IT spending, P4H Real Estate, & P6 R&D Spending.
  • Monthly financial analysis including identifying risks & opportunities of central division cost centers, Advertising & Selling, IT project spending, and any severance, restructuring, & relocation activity including any month end journal entries as needed.
  • Provide monthly performance report, operating working capital, and AR overdue analysis.
  • Provide various ad hoc analysis as needed.

What you know:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3 years of experience in managing monthly close processes and reporting; budgeting experience is an asset.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office tools, with advanced experience in Excel; Power BI experience is preferred.
  • Planner, self-starter and able to meet deadlines.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Ability to adapt to change.
  • Business acumen.

What’s in it for you?

At Alfa Laval, we carefully consider a wide range of factors to determine your total compensation package. We rely on market indicators and consider your specific job, background, skills, and experience to get it right.  The base salary for this role is typically $95,000.00 to $115,000.00.
