Purpose of Job

To support the sales of Alfa Laval’s service offerings, including spare parts, upgrades, and service contracts within the Energy Division, After Sales. The role focuses on managing customer inquiries, preparing quotations, and ensuring customer satisfaction through technical and commercial support.

- Preferably holding Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Degree; with 1-5 years' experience in sales or business development position; based in Africa regions is an advantage.

Job Description

  • Sales Support: Handle customer inquiries related to service products (spare parts, maintenance, upgrades).
    Prepare and follow up on quotations. Support the 'Lead to Order' process for service related sales.
  • Actively follow up the quote in order to understand if the proposed value is understood and if it matches the customer needs.
  • Proactive look for upselling opportunities.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers. Identify customer needs and propose tailored service solutions.
  • Use installed base tools to identify opportunities and expand customer coverage.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with field service teams, customer excellence, and product & application teams.
  • Coordinate with Capital Sales and Partner Sales teams to ensure holistic customer support.
  • Sales Ownership: Responsible for order intake and sales forecasting (monthly/quarterly). Drive growth in assigned territories or industries. Use CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and take decisions.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure all contractual commitments align with Alfa Laval’s policies. Review and approve quotations and contracts per authorization procedures.
