About This Job

This Account Sales is responsible for providing end-to-end (one-stop) dedicated service to a selected group of strategic Marine (Shipowner) and Power Plant key accounts. Unlike traditional transactional capital or aftersales roles, this position acts as the single point of contact (SPOC) overseeing the entire account lifecycle—driving new equipment (capital) sales, capturing aftermarket service opportunities, and directly managing all customer claims to ensure maximum customer retention and satisfaction.

  • One-Stop Account sales: Act as the dedicated single window for selected accounts, managing the entire commercial and technical relationship across both marine vessels and land-based power plants.

  • Synergized Sales (Capital & Service): Drive sales for both new equipment (Capital) and aftermarket services/spare parts, presenting a unified Alfa Laval solution to the accounts.

  • End-to-End Claim Management: Take full ownership of customer claims, disputes, and technical complaints. Coordinate closely with factories, quality assurance, and global Business Units (BUs) to resolve issues swiftly and protect the commercial relationship.

  • Cross-Border Project Collaboration: Actively coordinate with Alfa Laval offices in shipbuilding nations (e.g., China, Korea, Japan) to secure newbuild projects where the local accounts (shipowners) make the technical decisions.

  • Global BU Alignment: Regularly participate in meetings and technical reviews with overseas Business Units (BUs) to secure technical support, customized pricing, and product updates.

Qualifications & Professional Competencies

  • Experience: 3–5 years of commercial or technical experience in the Marine industry (dealing with shipowners/operators) or Power Plant sector.
  • Claim/Conflict Management: Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills; comfortable handling high-pressure client complaints.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in both spoken and written English (essential for routine interaction with global BUs and overseas shipyards/offices).

Personal Attributes & Work Attitude

  • Highly resilient
  • Service-oriented
  • With an ownership mindset (“Your customer is your business”) to provide a seamless one-stop experience.

As a member of our team, you thrive in a truly diverse and inclusive workplace based on care and empowerment. You are here to make a difference. Constantly building bridges to the future with sustainable solutions that have an impact on our planet's most urgent problems. Making the world a better place. Every day.
