About the job

As a General Operator, you’ll assemble product protectors according to drawings and work instructions, using a range of hand and power tools to perform precise operations. You’ll prepare each task by reviewing assembly guidelines, blueprints, and parts lists, ensuring all materials and tools are ready. During assembly, you’ll check connections for proper fit, fasten parts and subassemblies securely, and verify specifications by measuring completed cooler components. You’ll also support the Team Leader or Manager by helping train new colleagues, contributing to a safe, efficient, and collaborative production environment. 

                       

This position is in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.   

As a part of the team, you will:

  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit
  • Operates hand and power tools to connect parts
  • Performs bug screen fabrication
  • Completes preventive maintenance on equipment, following manufacturer’s instructions
  • Troubleshoots malfunctions with Team Lead, Supervisor, or Team Manager approval
  • Provides needed materials to various workstations and locations
  • Reads blueprints or instructions for job specifications
  • Operates sewing machine, electric scissors, and other sewing-related tools
  • Uses precision measuring devices to check quality of work
  • Maintains a clean work area during and at the end of each work shift
  • Follows all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements
  • Encourages and assures safe behavior; proactively addresses unsafe conditions
  • Conducts oneself in a considerate, professional, cooperative, and helpful manner toward fellow employees, customers, vendors, and visitors
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures

What you know:

High school diploma or GED required, with relevant experience, and:

  • Seamstress experience, preferred.
  • Valid drivers’ license required.
  • Basic math skills required including the ability to read a tape measure and micrometer.
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Forklift operation certification preferred.
  • Overhead crane experience preferred.

Physical and Environmental Factors:

Physical Requirements (lifting, climbing, standing, equipment and/or motor vehicle use): 

  • Sits 70% of workday.
  • Will be required to lift certain materials weighing up to 50lbs to different areas of the plant, frequently. 
  • An overhead crane will be used for items over 50lbs, occasionally. 
  • Repetitive motion: Substantial movement (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Environmental Factors (hazardous materials, work location, work surfaces, exposure):

  • Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment. 
  • Lifting raw materials, assemblies, and equipment using lifts, or manually up to 50 lbs.
  • Must wear PPE: steel toe boots, safety glasses, and ear plugs
  • Exposure to outdoor weather, extreme heat or cold, loud noise, and vibration
  • Work near hazards: moving machinery, vehicles, electrical currents, and chemicals
  • Encounter atmospheric conditions: fumes, dust, gases, odors, and poor ventilation
  • Operate in confined spaces such as narrow aisles or passageway
