About the job
As a Maintenance Team Lead, you will play a key role in supporting the Production Support Manager by coordinating the daily activities of the manufacturing team. Drawing on your expertise in equipment, policies, procedures, and specifications, you will help ensure production schedules are met while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. In this hands-on leadership role, you will also communicate work assignments, monitor performance metrics, and apply your electrical skill set to troubleshoot and repair critical machinery. Additionally, you will be responsible for collaborating on and maintaining preventative maintenance schedules for both new and existing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance across all systems.
Core Duties:
Performs troubleshooting and repairs as needed to support production.
Communicates work assignments to Team Members.
Ability to prioritize maintenance projects using demonstrated organizational skills.
Monitors progress of repairs and considers scheduling based on production.
This position is in Tulsa, Oklahoma and/or Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.
As a part of the team, you will:
Follow all safety policies and company-wide safety requirements; encourages action assuring safe behavior; confronts unsafe behavior and conditions proactively and positively.
Attend, participate and conduct pre-shift and weekly safety meetings.
Complies with all company policies and procedures.
Conducts himself/herself in a considerate, professional, cooperative, and helpful manner toward fellow employees, customers, vendors, and visitors.
Coordinates and supports the daily work of the team.
Develop processes and performance in the team.
Acts as a link between the team, support functions and Shop Supervisors.
Closes competence gaps by training and coaching.
Generates required preventative maintenance documentation.
Focuses on waste elimination and improvements.
Drives meetings within team (ALPs board, shift handover, pre-shift meeting).
Conducts daily work in the maintenance lead role.
Coordinates maintenance schedule for the team.
When needed supports production with immediate problem solving.
Assists team with various tasks as needed.
Good knowledge, understanding and hands-on skills to lead the maintenance team, considered a team expert.
Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
What you know:
You have a High School degree or GED equivalent with relevant experience:
Minimum 10 years of professional experience related to industrial maintenance
Working in a fast-paced team environment
Ability to manage stressful situations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Occasional travel locally 5%
Experience with hydraulics, electronics, overhead cranes, work trucks, air tools and fabrication processes.
Good computer skills, to include knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Excel, Outlook
Physical Factors:
Physical Requirements (lifting, climbing, standing, equipment and/or motor vehicle use):
Job requires walking 100% of workday.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally.
Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Steel toe boots, safety glasses, fall protection, arc flash, and ear plugs)
Environmental Factors:
Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical and electrical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is often loud.
