Who you are:
- Alfa Laval marine offers 17 solutions today to increase the performance throughout the lifetime of the vessels.
- The global ambitions for carbon reductions is creating strong growth for Alfa Laval. Marine has started exploring the business opportunities - the inhouse R&D to enable the shipowners to use the lower carbon footprinted fuel and recently investment made in digitization, air lubrication, wind-assisted propulsion are the clear examples of that.
About the job:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy focused on promoting de-carbon-related products to potential customers in the marine industry.
- Identify, research, and analyze potential customers to understand their specific needs and requirements related to de-carbonization.
- Actively engage with key stake holders – ship owners, ship leasing companies, authorities, academies, classification, regulators, associations, etc. Build and maintain strong relationship
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops to educate customers about the benefits of adopting de-carbon technologies and practices, and how they can contribute to reducing their carbon emissions.
- Develop customized sales proposals and presentations tailored to the specific needs and requirements of each potential customer.
- Negotiate and close sales deals in collaboration with BU sales team ensuring that the terms and conditions are mutually beneficial and aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations related to marine de-carbonization, and share this knowledge with the sales team and potential customers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and sales teams to ensure a seamless and efficient sales process.
What you know:
Experience & expertise
- Minimum 10 years relevant work experiences, management or business development roles
- Extensive network with the prospects and industry stakeholders
- Deep understanding of industry and business logic in the domains of ship owners, ship managers, ship leasing companies, authorities, academies, classification, regulators, associations, etc.
- Customer centric mindset, data driven approach, being creative and strategic thinking
- Able to work in a complex environment across many programs with multiple stakeholders
- Personal credibility, maturity, people skill to leverage the relationships with customers as well as internal stakeholders
- Strong leadership skill with an open mind to improve
Leadership capability:
- Must have a compelling presence, ability to quickly establish credibility and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
