About the job

As Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for driving assigned separation technologies for both Service and Capital Sales in the municipal and industrial wastewater market. You will define portfolio direction based on customer needs, market trends, and regulatory requirements, and translate this into clear portfolio priorities and roadmap recommendations to ensure a competitive and market-relevant offering. In addition, you will ensure that the portfolio is ready for the market and supported internally across the relevant functions needed for successful implementation and lifecycle management. This is a growing portfolio with strong international potential, and the role offers the opportunity to work across markets, support business expansion, and travel internationally.

We are looking for a senior profile with a technical background and solid experience in portfolio management, product management, or related business roles. Your combination of business and technical understanding enables you to translate market needs into clear, actionable input for product teams. You are proactive, hands-on, and bring a strong sense of ownership. You are comfortable working in an environment where structures and ways of working are still evolving, and you are able to identify issues, drive clarity, and make things happen. You know how to build credibility, influence stakeholders, and lead cross-functional topics even without formal authority. Experience in industrial and municipal wastewater applications, as well as with mechanical separation technologies, would be considered a strong advantage.

This hybrid position is based in Houston, TX.

As a part of the team, you will:

• Develop and execute portfolio strategies for municipal and industrial wastewater separation technologies.
• Assess market trends, customer needs, industry developments, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
• Own portfolio prioritization and lifecycle decisions, including investment, enhancement, optimization, and retirement recommendations.
• Create and maintain portfolio roadmaps spanning 3 to 5+ years.
• Translate customer and market insights into actionable portfolio strategies and business initiatives.
• Support value-based pricing initiatives, profitability improvement efforts, and commercial growth objectives.
• Evaluate portfolio performance and recommend actions to strengthen market position and customer value.
• Partner with Business Development, Sales, and Product Management teams to identify new market opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional alignment across Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Commercial teams.
• Support product launches, commercialization efforts, and ongoing portfolio lifecycle management.
• Influence stakeholders and drive strategic initiatives without direct authority.
• Support global portfolio initiatives and collaborate with international teams.

What you know:

You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field, and:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Portfolio Management, Product Management, Commercial Strategy, Business Development, Marketing, or related disciplines.

• Experience managing or supporting B2B industrial product and/or service portfolios.

• Experience in municipal wastewater, industrial wastewater, separation technologies, process equipment, or related industrial markets is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to translate market and customer insights into strategic business decisions.

• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including portfolio performance evaluation, growth planning, and profitability improvement.

• Experience influencing cross-functional stakeholders and leading initiatives without direct authority.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management, portfolio optimization, and roadmap development.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within global organizations or cross-regional environments is preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.

These considerations can cause your compensation to vary and will also be dependent on your location. The base salary for this role is typically $120,000 - $140,000.
