Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water, and shipping.
As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.
We are looking for someone to be part of the Operations Development team. We are a high competence team with the ability to apply new ways of working in business reality. Our work is focused on two main areas – Supply Chain Planning and Data Analytics. Our mission is to develop Alfa Laval’s Supply Chains so they will be more responsive to changes and more resilient to disturbances while actively contributing to our sustainability targets.
Who you are:
You are someone who thrives on developing and implementing new ways of working within Supply Chain Network Modeling and Optimization in an international and cross-cultural environment. You excel at improving existing methodologies and driving change by combining hands-on deliveries with the ability to motivate and engage others. With an analytical mindset, you enjoy solving problems and delivering results collaboratively with your colleagues. You possess a strong understanding of how Supply Chain Planning Processes are organized, executed, and implemented in system solutions.
You have a keen interest in understanding and utilizing IT solutions to support the optimization and planning processes.
About the job:
You will be responsible for building Supply Chain Network models and running optimization calculations for different product groups within Alfa Laval. This work involves Supply Chain Data Processing (using an ETL tool), Optimization settings, Scenario Management, and High-Level analysis. You will collaborate closely with selected key resources from the Line of Business, our IT organization, and external system suppliers.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with different Business Units and Product Groups within Alfa Laval on a global scale. You will become a key player in a global role where continuous learning, fresh insights, and impactful contributions are the norm.
Additionally, you will be responsible for establishing this new capability in-house at Alfa Laval, giving you a significant opportunity to influence the set-up and ways of working moving forward.
What you know
You have a master’s degree or equivalent probably in Engineering or Business Administration or Data Science and some experience from working with Supply Chain Network Modelling and Optimization.
You have experience of building Supply chain network data models and run optimizations in software like FICO Supply chain solver, anyLogistix, Llamasoft, etc
We also believe that experience and understanding of different aspects of supply chain management – procurement, inventory, manufacturing, distribution, standard costs, lead times etc. are important to be successful in this role.
We expect you to have hands-on experience from working with supply chain network modelling and optimization.
It’s an advantage if you have experience of project management.
What’s in it for you
The position offers the opportunity to work in a global company, providing great development opportunities for professional growth for the right candidate. We offer a challenging role in an open and friendly environment where we support each other in developing and creating value. You will work in a global environment and your work will have a true impact on Alfa Laval’s future success.
