About the job
As an Automation Hardware Engineer at Alfa Laval, you will play a key role in the development, standardization, and execution of customer projects. You’ll be responsible for handling the electrical aspects of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, cost optimization, and timely delivery. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, support commissioning activities, and mentor junior engineers—making every day dynamic and rewarding.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the electrical scope of several mid and large-size projects, ensuring alignment with schedules and budgets.
Execute electrical engineering tasks, including configuration of complete systems, control panels, starter panels, HMI panels, cabling, technical documentation, O&M manuals, and FAT of ordered items.
Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotation) for MCC and other panels, based on input from Process and Automation engineers.
Specify all components of electrical systems for equipment, systems, and plants.
Constructing drawings in EPLAN - electric
Support start-up, commissioning, and troubleshooting—both remotely and on-site.
Coach and mentor less experienced electrical engineers, ensuring quality and fostering growth.

What you know
We are seeking a candidate with a strong foundation in electrical engineering and hands-on experience in project-based environments. Ideally, you possess:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
2-5+ years of experience in electrical design, construction and project collaboration.
Proven experience preparing Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
Proficiency in EPLAN or similar electrical engineering software.
Strong communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
