Background
The new Business Unit Marine Solutions, part of the Ocean Division, aims to strengthen our market position and leverage synergies by focusing on the core of the two former Business Units: BU WWF (Water, Wind and Fuel Solutions) and BU HGS (Heat & Gas Systems). In this new organisation, we are looking for a Business Controller.
About the Job
The BU Business Controller is a senior executive responsible for overall finance responsibility for the Business Unit, driving strategy, business performance follow up and improvements. Besides the financial aspects, also risk and compliance management as well as legal support will be hosted within the area of responsibility.
The Business Controller will advise the Business Unit President and the Business unit management team members in business control from a global perspective, assess the financial impact of decision and business directions. You will work closely with the Sales Companies, and other stakeholders in the Group and will lead a financial team. Therefore, a proven track record in similar positions is a requirement for this role.
The position will report to Business Unit President as the direct manager and will be an active member of the BU Marine Solutions Management Team.

You are an experienced leader with a growth mindset and a proven track record of managing global organizations. Your proactive approach and innovative mindset enable you to challenge conventional thinking and develop strong financial strategies. You are experienced in business and financial control especially from an engineering and manufacturing industry environment. You have a holistic understanding of the business landscape and like to identify the deeper industry, and customer needs to understand the business drivers and develop the impactful opportunities from a business control angle.
Experience in managing functions beyond finance like risk, compliance and/or legal are appreciated. With a passion for performance, business curiosity and improvement, you are collaborative and skilled at managing stakeholders.

The position needs to be located in Europe, with preference on the main sites of the Business Unit (Sweden, Denmark or Italy). The position requires frequent travel.
