About the Job
The Food and Water division at Alfa Laval is looking for a Pharmaceutical and Biotech Business Development Manager to join our team. The position will report to the local Divisional manager but be part of a wider Cluster community focused on growing Pharma business. This role is pivotal in driving growth by acquiring new customers across our Business Units, presenting our value proposition, securing homologations, and expanding our network. Additionally, Business Development Managers will develop new technologies within existing accounts in close alignment with local sales teams. They will collaborate closely with Product & Application experts to ensure access to specialized technology expertise. We will define clear KPIs for this role—balancing long-term value positioning and large greenfield projects with short-term wins such as retrofits, replacements, and deployment of already homologated technologies. This role is supported by the Product & Application experts and local and central sales organizations.
You will be responsible for identifying business opportunities and securing end-user sales within the Pharma market for Alfa Laval Hygienic Fluid Handling & Food Heat Transfer and Separation products. Engaging with key end users and EPCs, you will be located in the UK or preferably Ireland. This will be a home-based role, and the successful candidate will have a full driving license as travel will be frequent in the UK&I.
